{"id":214418,"date":"2025-06-25T23:45:12","date_gmt":"2025-06-25T23:45:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/214418\/"},"modified":"2025-06-25T23:45:12","modified_gmt":"2025-06-25T23:45:12","slug":"world-first-ozzy-osbourne-exhibition-now-open-in-birmingham","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/214418\/","title":{"rendered":"World-first Ozzy Osbourne exhibition now open in Birmingham"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>                <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aiir-c-news-figure__image\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/685c7ac10c9a4.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/p>\n<p class=\"aiir-c-news-article__abstract\">\n            A world-first exhibition celebrating the solo achievements and global accolades of rock icon Ozzy Osbourne is now open at Birmingham Museum &amp; Art Gallery, welcoming music fans from far and wide.\n        <\/p>\n<p>The free exhibition, titled \u2018Working Class Hero\u2019 runs until 28 September 2025 and brings together Ozzy\u2019s most prestigious international awards \u2013 including Grammy Awards, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame recognition and his stars on both the Hollywood Walk of Fame and Birmingham Walk of Stars \u2013 all displayed together for the very first time.<\/p>\n<p>Visitors can also explore a dazzling array of gold and platinum discs marking millions of record sales worldwide, alongside powerful photography and video chronicling his journey from a working-class kid in Aston to global rock legend.<\/p>\n<p>Castle Fine Art is also exhibiting a striking new limited-edition Jon Jones portrait of Black Sabbath, created especially for the exhibition \u2013 a powerful tribute to the band\u2019s legacy by a Birmingham-born artist.<\/p>\n<p>Launching the exhibition with the cutting of a black ribbon, Sharon Osbourne said: \u201cThis exhibition is a real celebration of everything Ozzy has achieved and the city that made him. We\u2019re absolutely thrilled to share it with the fans \u2013 Birmingham, this one\u2019s for you.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As part of the wider \u2018Summer of Sabbath\u2019 celebrations, fans can also enjoy a free outdoor Black Sabbath photography exhibition in Victoria Square, featuring rare archive images of Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, Bill Ward and Ozzy Osbourne, iconic album artwork, and untold stories about the band\u2019s deep Birmingham roots.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/685c7ac1101bf.jpg\" style=\"width: 75%;\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Just steps away on Navigation Street near New Street station, world-renowned spray artist Mr Murals has created a spectacular 40-metre tribute to Black Sabbath.<\/p>\n<p>Featuring the band\u2019s iconic logo and lifelike portraits spanning seven decades, it\u2019s already become a must-visit selfie spot for fans and passersby alike. Together, these powerful displays form a landmark tribute to one of the most influential rock bands in history.<\/p>\n<p>Sam Watson, Chair of Central BID Birmingham, added: \u201cOzzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath helped shape modern music and put Birmingham on the global cultural map.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;These exhibitions are a celebration of our city\u2019s creativity, influence and spirit.
