departing Kyle Walker-Peters, sources have told <strong>Football Insider<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Johnston could be available for around for \u20ac2.5million euros (\u00a32.1m) after an impressive season in which he helped Graz win the Austrian Bundesliga for a second successive campaign.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/footballinsider247.com\/tag\/southampton\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Southampton<\/a> are after a new right-back after <a href=\"https:\/\/www.footballinsider247.com\/tyler-dibling-reacts-after-emotional-southampton-exit-announcement\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Kyle Walker-Peters\u2019 St Mary\u2019s departure was announced on Wednesday<\/a> (25 June).<\/p>\n<p>New boss Will Still is keen to replace the outgoing England href=\"https:\/\/www.footballinsider247.com\/stoke-city-swansea-and-oxford-race-to-sign-max-johnston-sources\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Stoke City, Swansea and Oxford were chasing a deal to sign Johnston on loan<\/a>, and he is once again being targeted by a Championship side this summer in the Saints.<\/p>\n<p>The 21-year-old made his Scotland debut in March in a Nations League win for the Scottish Premiership side before joining Graz in 2023.<\/p>\n<p>Johnston has been a regular at right-back for the Austrian side since his arrival, and has also featured in both the Champions League and Europa League while helping them win back-to-back league titles.<\/p>\n<p>He played against the likes of <a href=\"http:\/\/footballinsider247.com\/tag\/borussia-dortmund\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Borussia Dortmund<\/a>, Lille and <a href=\"http:\/\/footballinsider247.com\/tag\/sporting-cp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sporting CP<\/a> in the last campaign, while on the international front, he notched his first assist for Scotland in their 3-1 defeat to Iceland earlier this month.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" the hope of competing near the top of the Championship in the new season.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Football Insider<\/strong> have recently revealed that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.footballinsider247.com\/exclusive-southampton-and-leicester-city-make-moves-to-sign-asmir-begovic\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the Saints have made contact over signing Everton goalkeeper Asmir Begovic<\/a>, alongside fellow newly-relegated side <a href=\"http:\/\/footballinsider247.com\/tag\/leicester-city\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Leicester City<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Southampton are in the market for goalkeeping reinforcements, with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.footballinsider247.com\/tag\/aaron-ramsdale\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Aaron Ramsdale<\/a> expected to move on following their relegation, while Joe Lumley has been released at the end of his contract.<\/p>\n<p>38-year-old Begovic has emerged as a target for the south-coast side due to his availability, as he will become a free agent when his Toffees contract expires at the end of the month.<\/p>\n<p>He would likely be considered a second-choice option in Still\u2019s squad despite the speculation around Ramsdale, but would bring a wealth of experience, with 256 appearances in the Premier League to date.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>Related
