Call the Midwife wins Best Drama at the 2025 Television and Radio Industries Club Awards !! We bring news hot from the Grosvenor House Hotel on London&#8217;s Park Lane, where Call the Midwife has clinched the Drama prize at this year&#8217;s TRIC awards!!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The post went on to detail the stiff competition the drama had overcome, stating: &#8220;CTM beat Bridgerton, Baby Reindeer and All Creatures Great and Small to the coveted drama prize &#8211; voted for by UK TV viewers.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCall the Midwife had won the prize just once before, all the way back in 2013, so we were particularly delighted to be recognised again after so long!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The caption revealed that despite a &#8220;very busy filming schedule&#8221;, cast members Zephryn Taitte, Cliff Parisi, Annabelle Apsion, Laura Main, Stephen McGann and Georgie Glen made an appearance to represent the series.<\/p>\n<p>The post concluded with a heartfelt thank you: &#8220;Thank you to everybody who voted! Just a fantastic show.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Currently, filming is in progress for the new series, which will grace our screens with a two-part Christmas special this December, followed by eight fresh episodes in January 2026.<\/p>\n<p>The festive special will be set in both Poplar and Hong Kong, as senior members of Nonnatus House embark on a mercy mission across the globe, leaving the younger nurses to manage affairs back in London.<\/p>\n<p>In an unexpected turn of events, Sister Julienne finds herself &#8220;excited about the Order&#8217;s future&#8221;, according to the synopsis.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAfter years of battling change, she decides to embrace it, work with it, and see what love can do. This change of energy reverberates throughout series 15.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The forthcoming season, commencing in 1971, sees several women embracing Women&#8217;s liberation and burning their bras outside Nonnatus House.
