Known as <strong>Great British Doner<\/strong> (GBD, for short), the new Manchester opening describes itself as a \u201cnext-generation kebab house\u201d offering an unseen blend of authentic <a href=\"https:\/\/secretmanchester.com\/turkish-restaurants-manchester\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_self\" class=\"shortcode-outbound-link\" data-has-ga=\"true\" data-ga-type=\"click\" data-label=\"https:\/\/secretmanchester.com\/turkish-restaurants-manchester\/\" data-action=\"text_cta_1\" data-category=\"click_internal\">Turkish<\/a> street food and proudly British bold flavours.<\/p>\n<p>Opening in <strong>Barton Arcade on Deansgate on Friday 27th June<\/strong>, Great British Doner aims to bring a fresh take on one of the UK\u2019s favourite dishes. Mehmet Nezir Korkut, Founder of GBD, said, \u201cGreat British Doner is about more than just food. It is about culture, connection, and creating something that celebrates tradition while embracing modern British taste. Our mission is simple: serve great doner with quality, integrity, and bold flavour.\u201d<\/p>\n<p> The menu at Great British Doner in Manchester <\/p>\n<p>Highlights on the Great British Doner menu include<strong> 100% premium beef doner<\/strong>, carefully layered and hand-seasoned, as well as <strong>marinated chicken doner<\/strong>, made with a balanced 60\/40 mix of breast and leg. Vegetarian options include<strong> halloumi and falafel wraps<\/strong>, while vegan doner is made using<strong> spiced vegetables and hummus<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>All wraps, burgers and boxes are served with a <strong>fresh combination of salad ingredients<\/strong>, including tomato, onion, lettuce, red cabbage and pickled cucumber, and guests can choose from a <strong>selection of house sauces<\/strong>, including GBD Sauce, jalape\u00f1o cheese, hot chilli, and garlic &amp; herb.<\/p>\n<p> <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-73798\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/choco-kebab-machine.jpg\" alt=\"choco kebab machine\" width=\"1200\" height=\"800\"  \/>Credit: Supplied <\/p>\n<p>Dessert offerings range from a <strong>luxurious red velvet cake and cheesecake<\/strong> to <strong>the viral frozen chocolate doner<\/strong>, rich chocolate shavings poured on top of a warm pancake. The drinks include <strong>bottomless soft drinks<\/strong> at only \u00a32.50,<strong> traditional Turkish Ayran<\/strong>, a popular Turkish salty yogurt drink, and <strong>\u015falgam<\/strong>, a turnip juice. A dedicated kids menu is also on offer with mini doner wraps, burgers or nuggets with fries and fruit juice.<\/p>\n<p> How to get a free doner kebab <\/p>\n<p>To celebrate the grand opening on Friday 27th June, Great British Doner is giving away <strong>free doners to the first 100 customers from 1pm<\/strong>, alongside exclusive branded merchandise for 20 guests.
