A former butler to King Charles<\/a> has provided insight into a scenario where the monarch might feel it necessary to step in regarding Meghan Markle<\/a>‘s business dealings.<\/p>\n

Grant Harrold, once an employee of King Charles and Queen Camilla, posited that while the Royal family<\/a> has refrained from interfering in Meghan’s commercial activities thus far, there could be repercussions, such as revoking her HRH title, if used for profit-driven enterprises.<\/p>\n

In a conversation with Prime Casino, Harrold deliberated on emerging speculations that the Duchess of Sussex might delve into the hotel industry and brand her lifestyle company As Ever, specializing in ‘hospitality services.’<\/p>\n

Harrold indicated that should Meghan leverage her Royal standing for commercial use, the Royals might have no choice but to take action.<\/p>\n

Grant conjectured that any decision would likely be communicated to Prince Harry<\/a> by King Charles, who holds the authority to retract their HRH titles if deemed appropriate.<\/p>\n

Moreover, Grant suggested that such a move into hospitality does not resonate with Meghan’s established personal brand, declaring it could lead to a costly flop and suggesting that focusing on wellness-related initiatives would be more fitting due to her known interests in health and wellness.<\/p>\n

He expressed his skepticism: “I don’t quite know why she’ll want to go down that route, because from a hospitality point of view, that’s going to cost a lot of money, and then she has to run it. If it’s a failure, that’s going to be a very expensive failure.”<\/p>\n

“It’s difficult to know when you hear these stories, because why would you want to have the hassle of having a hotel. I can understand she wants to have a retreat or something because she’s into wellness, but a hotel doesn’t really make sense with her brand.”<\/p>\n

“If she was using her title for something, it’s possible they could step in. But it wouldn’t be King Charles phoning up personally, it would likely go through Harry,” he said.<\/p>\n

“The royals haven’t stopped them so far, so I doubt this would happen.
