{"id":216007,"date":"2025-06-26T13:46:09","date_gmt":"2025-06-26T13:46:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/216007\/"},"modified":"2025-06-26T13:46:09","modified_gmt":"2025-06-26T13:46:09","slug":"dozen-injured-as-bus-carrying-students-crashes-into-river-in-southern-england","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/216007\/","title":{"rendered":"Dozen injured as bus carrying students crashes into river in southern England"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Over a dozen people were injured after a double-decker bus veered off the road and plunged into a river in southern England on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>The incident occurred at around 10:07 a.m. local time (0907 GMT) in Eastleigh, a town in southern England&#8217;s Hampshire county, <a href=\"https:\/\/news.az\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">News.Az<\/a> reports, citing <a href=\"https:\/\/english.news.cn\/europe\/20250626\/d7b55367fb5a4fb7b6e0a760f449822f\/c.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">foreign media<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>A bus carrying college students from a further education institution ran off Bishopstoke Road, a main route in the area, and plunged into the River Itchen, local media reported.<\/p>\n<p>According to the South Central Ambulance Service, three patients with serious injuries were transported to a hospital, while 14 others with minor injuries received treatment at the scene.<\/p>\n<p>Emergency services responded with two medical helicopters and five ambulances.
