Meghan Markle\u2019s latest podcast appearance has ruffled feathers with some things she said perceived as a swipe at the royal family<\/a>. The Duchess guest-starred in Emma Grede\u2019s podcast Aspire With Emma Grede and talked about her journey as an entrepreneur while also getting candid about her personal life. At one point, the former actress was asked, \u201cIf you could rewrite your public narrative from scratch, is there anything you would do differently?\u201d to which she replied, \u201cYes, I would ask people to tell the truth.\u201d While some think of it as a dig at the royals, experts have slammed Markle as a “liar”, claiming that she built her entire brand on such wild claims about the monarchy.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Royal experts Hugo Vickers, Samara Gill, and Matt Wilkinson recently discussed Markle\u2019s latest move on The Sun\u2019s<\/a> Royal Exclusive. Taken aback by her remarks, Gill called the Duchess a \u2018constant liar\u2019 and said, \u201cThe fact is she is a constant liar and her whole brand is built on a spin of lies.\u201d The expert continued, \u201cI don’t trust a word that woman says. I think it is very, very low for her to insinuate that we should listen to her truth or that the royal family should tell the truth.\u201d Calling out the \u2018lack of authenticity\u2019 in the podcast, Gill claimed that the Sussexes\u2019 staff may shed more light on the \u2018truth,\u2019 referencing the bullying allegations by Markle\u2019s former staff<\/a> members during her time in the U.K. Gill added, \u201cI don’t want to listen to this woman about truth. The fact of the matter is that she is a constant liar.\u201d<\/p>\n

Vickers agreed with Gill\u2019s views about Markle, claiming that the Suits alum must not be fond of experts talking the \u2018truth\u2019 about her. He said, \u201cI think Samara and I, as well as others, do tell the truth about her, and I don’t think she likes it very much.\u201d However, the expert credited Prince Harry for the fame that his wife has achieved<\/a> by marrying him. He continued, \u201cNo one would actually listen to Meghan Markle if it wasn’t for the fact that she married Prince Harry. It’s because she’s married to Harry that it gives the soap opera quality that seems to appeal to everyone. Otherwise would not really care about her; a lot of other people are doing stuff similar to her on social media anyway.\u201d<\/p>\n

During the podcast, Grede asked Markle if she must be furious to see people lying about her, to which the Duchess replied with advice she received from her friend, Serena Williams. Markle said, \u201cMy dear friend Serena, she told me years ago: ‘A lie can’t live forever.\u2019 Eight years is a long time, but not forever.\u201d While on the podcast, the former Suits star also addressed her twerking video from when she was pregnant<\/a>, which was the subject of a lot of criticism.
