These are provided for a number of reasons including if you have a low income, are unemployed, <a data-link-tracking=\"InArticle|Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.express.co.uk\/finance\/retirement\/2072298\/full-list-health-issues-dwp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">have a limiting health condition or disability<\/a>, or are retired, among others.<\/p>\n<p>While these payments will help, many are still struggling with the cost of the living as inflation continues to rise. As reported by <a data-link-tracking=\"InArticle|Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.independent.co.uk\/news\/uk\/home-news\/cost-of-living-payment-dwp-pip-benefits-pension-july-2025-b2777245.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">The Independent<\/a>, research from the Joseph Rowntree Foundation found that 21% of people in the UK &#8211; or one in five &#8211; were in poverty in 2022\/23.<\/p>\n<p>Therefore, it\u2019s vital to know what cash support you could be entitled to. The the exact day you receive it will correspong to the last two digits of your National Insurance (NI) number.<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s when you should be paid based on those numbers:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>00 to 19: Monday<\/li>\n<li>20 to 39: Tuesday<\/li>\n<li>40 to 59: Wednesday<\/li>\n<li>60 to 79: Thursday<\/li>\n<li>80 to 99: Friday<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Benefit rates<\/p>\n<p>In April this year, all benefits were increased by 1.7%, in line with the September 2024 inflation figure.
