Around 24 million people in the UK are currently in receipt of some form of benefit from the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP)<\/a>. These are provided for a number of reasons including if you have a low income, are unemployed, have a limiting health condition or disability<\/a>, or are retired, among others.<\/p>\n

While these payments will help, many are still struggling with the cost of the living as inflation continues to rise. As reported by The Independent<\/a>, research from the Joseph Rowntree Foundation found that 21% of people in the UK – or one in five – were in poverty in 2022\/23.<\/p>\n

Therefore, it\u2019s vital to know what cash support you could be entitled to. It is thought around \u00a323bn worth of benefits go unclaimed each year.<\/a>\u00a0<\/p>\n

Benefit payments will be going out as normal in July due to the fact there are no bank holidays. These include:<\/p>\n
