An Edinburgh-bound Jet2 flight was forced to divert<\/a> 700 miles away to Switzerland, and did not reach the capital until hours later.<\/p>\n Flight LS3922 departed from Malta as planned at 11.45am on Wednesday, June 25. It was expected to touch down in Edinburgh<\/a> at 2.45pm, but an unexpected diversion was made to Geneva.<\/p>\n According to the airline’s Travel Information page online, it arrived in the Swiss city at 1.06pm, and did not leave again until 9.20pm.
