{"id":217140,"date":"2025-06-26T23:43:12","date_gmt":"2025-06-26T23:43:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/217140\/"},"modified":"2025-06-26T23:43:12","modified_gmt":"2025-06-26T23:43:12","slug":"restaurant-proud-after-immediate-action-sees-remarkable-turnaround","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/217140\/","title":{"rendered":"Restaurant &#8216;proud&#8217; after &#8216;immediate action&#8217; sees remarkable turnaround"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The restaurant has been given a new rating after being slammed earlier this year<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/1750981392_286_0_The-Indian-Hive-in-Wallasey.jpg\" alt=\"The Indian Hive in Wallasey\" loading=\"eager\"  \/>The Indian Hive in Wallasey said they were proud to announce their new rating(Image: Liverpool Echo)<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">An Indian restaurant has seen a remarkable turnaround, going from a zero food hygiene rating to a four in just two months.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">The Indian Hive on Poulton Road in <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.liverpoolecho.co.uk\/all-about\/wallasey\" target=\"\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">Wallasey<\/a> was given the worst possible rating following two visits by <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.liverpoolecho.co.uk\/all-about\/wirral\" target=\"\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">Wirral<\/a> Council food hygiene inspectors on April 24 and 25. A Freedom of Information request revealed <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.liverpoolecho.co.uk\/news\/liverpool-news\/new-indian-restaurant-given-zero-31934942\" target=\"_self\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">this was due to a mouse infestation, with lots of droppings found by the local authority.<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \"><a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.liverpoolecho.co.uk\/all-about\/wirral-council\" target=\"\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">Wirral Council<\/a> told <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.liverpoolecho.co.uk\/\" target=\"_self\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">the ECHO<\/a> the restaurant had requested a revisit and a rescore following its rating in April. On June 25 in the evening, a new inspection was carried out, giving the business a new food hygiene rating of four, which means cleanliness and hygiene are considered \u201cgood.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">According to a food hygiene report seen by the <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.liverpoolecho.co.uk\/\" target=\"_self\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">ECHO<\/a>, the restaurant scored well for hygienic food handling and the management of food safety. It was considered good in both of these areas, while the cleanliness and condition of the restaurant were considered \u201cgenerally satisfactory.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">A spokesperson for the company said: &#8220;We are proud to announce that Indian Hive has now been awarded a 4-star food hygiene rating, following a period of focused improvements and teamwork.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">&#8220;After receiving our previous rating, we immediately took action to address the issues raised. We worked closely with third-party contractors and, importantly, with the support and guidance of the council, who gave us the opportunity to improve our standards and raise our score.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">&#8220;This achievement reflects the hard work and commitment of our team, who have gone above and beyond to ensure that our kitchen and service areas meet the high standards our customers deserve. We are incredibly proud of the transformation we&#8217;ve made and grateful for the continued support from our loyal customers throughout this journey.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">&#8220;We remain committed to maintaining and exceeding these standards, and we welcome any additional feedback that can help us improve even further.
