Manchester United have never been closer to completing signing number two of the summer transfer window.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Ineos<\/a> have taken their time negotiating a deal with Brentford, but after weeks of talks, Bryan Mbeumo<\/a> looks set to complete his transfer to Manchester United<\/a> imminently.<\/p>\n

It has been around three weeks since United\u2019s first bid worth \u00a345m plus \u00a310m add-ons for Mbeumo was rejected. After this refusal by Brentford, negotiations dragged on as Omar Berrada preached patience<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Last weekend, a step was finally taken when United offered upwards of \u00a360m for Mbeumo<\/a>, which was within touching distance of a deal. Despite being close, Brentford wanted United to modify the add-ons<\/a>, which have happened over the past few days.<\/p>\n

The Standard<\/a> claims that Brentford wanted more than \u00a37m in add-ons on top of United\u2019s \u00a355m upfront payment. This, considering the cost of Matheus Cunha. This has always been Brentford\u2019s stance, with a belief that Mbeumo is worth more than Cunha<\/a>. <\/p>\n

But now there is talk of a medical, which suggests the deal must be imminent.<\/p>\n

It has been a long process waiting for United to sign Mbeumo, but finally, we are likely in the final stage, with the Cameroon international now set for a medical.<\/p>\n

Now, we finally have information on a possible medical for Mbeumo, and it comes through Alex Crook and talkSPORT.<\/p>\n

The journalist reports, in partnership with Ben Jacobs, that Mbeumo\u2019s medical to join United is expected to take place next week, ahead of the \u00a363m transfer from Brentford.<\/p>\n

In addition to the report from talkSPORT, a reliable United news account on X, Sully Talkz, has added that Mbeumo will also sign his contract next week. <\/p>\n

United are planning for Mbeumo to fly to Manchester directly from his holidays, with only the final formalities of the deal left to complete.<\/p>\n

This should mean Mbeumo is ready to go by the time United start pre-season training on July 7<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Ruben Amorim handed a boost over Bryan Mbeumo\u2019s medical <\/p>\n

Amorim will have known for weeks that Mbeumo was likely to be a United player next season; however, what he won\u2019t have known is when a deal would finally be completed.<\/p>\n

With pre-season commencing on July 7th, Amorim will have been eager for the electric forward to be through the doors at Carrington before then, so he can start from day one with his teammates and learn the system.<\/p>\n

Amorim will therefore be pleased with Ineos if a deal is finalized next week; however, there will be no rest for the decision-makers at Old Trafford.<\/p>\n

United still want four signings<\/a>, and these must all be done by the time the Premier League season kicks off on August 17th against Arsenal. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
