Earlier this week, it was announced by Xbox that Steam games would be coming to the Xbox PC app<\/a> as part of a new “Aggregated Gaming Library” feature, and those games have now started appearing for certain Xbox Insider members.<\/p>\n

A first look at Steam integration on Xbox reveals there’s still work to be done \u2014 some of the cover art clearly isn’t transferring over properly right now \u2014 but the games are at least showing up as intended, and they do launch from within the Xbox app.<\/p>\n

Here’s an image from Parris<\/a> on social media, even including a PlayStation game in the form of Marvel’s SpiderMan 2:<\/p>\n

We’re still waiting on more details, but we’re pretty sure you do still need Steam (or whatever launcher you’re using) to run in the background when playing these games, so the Xbox PC app serves as more of a shortcut than anything.<\/p>\n

That might sound a bit redundant if you’re using Steam a lot anyway, but the biggest benefit will be for ROG Xbox Ally<\/a> users – they’ll be able to jump into games across multiple launchers without having to mess around with Windows.<\/p>\n

Anyway, if you’re interested in trying Steam out for yourself on the Xbox PC app, you’ll need to be part of the PC Gaming Preview<\/a> for Xbox Insiders. The feature will then roll out to the public at some point in the relatively near future.<\/p>\n
