Brendan Rodgers got a much-needed reaction from his Celtic players over the weekend.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

After Celtic<\/a> were beaten by St Johnstone, Rodgers wasn\u2019t a happy man<\/a>, and he made his feelings clear towards the players.<\/p>\n

This wasn\u2019t a case of the Celtic manager<\/a> being angry at that isolated result or performance, but what he has been seeing since the turn of the year.<\/p>\n

In truth, the Celtic Park<\/a> faithful didn\u2019t disagree with what Rodgers<\/a> had to say, so it wasn\u2019t a surprise when there were big changes for the visit of Kilmarnock on Saturday.<\/p>\n

From Adam Idah<\/a> returning to the XI to Nicolas Kuhn being benched<\/a>, it worked a treat, with Celtic putting five past Kilmarnock<\/a>, including four inside half an hour.<\/p>\n

It was the champions-elect and the Treble-chasers at their best, but it doesn\u2019t mean that some of the players are still immune to criticism or getting booted out in the summer.<\/p>\n

After Idah\u2019s successful loan spell from Norwich City, which included the winner in the Scottish Cup final against Rangers, it was obvious he was going to return to Glasgow permanently.<\/p>\n

But Hugh Keevins<\/a> told Clyde 1 Superscoreboard that Idah has been a \u2018waste of money\u2019, alongside another summer capture, Auston Trusty<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Idah started the game against Killie<\/a>, whilst Trusty was absent because his partner gave birth to their child, as Celtic\u2019s man up top couldn\u2019t find the back of the net despite five goals going in.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cManagement is a solitary business,\u201d said Keevins. \u201cBrendan Rodgers is thinking, \u2018what is going on with these people? I will have to make changes (in the summer), because of this complacency\u2019.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen he says \u2018new players are required\u2019, yeah, he is right. Auston Trusty. Waste of money. Adam Idah. Waste of money.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Nicolas Kuhn and Jota are also in the firing line<\/p>\n

Nicolas Kuhn\u2019s form has fallen off<\/a>, and it wasn\u2019t a surprise to see him benched, but that doesn\u2019t mean he hasn\u2019t had a very strong season overall.<\/p>\n

As for Jota<\/a>, following his return to where he made a name for himself, Keevins thinks the January recruit has become too comfortable in his seat.<\/p>\n

Jota has been told to \u2018get his finger out\u2019, as Rodgers is expected to make changes in the summer. <\/p>\n

\u201cNicolas Kuhn. Whatever happened to Nicolas Kuhn?\u201d added Keevins. \u201cSome other guy has taken his place in the team.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cJota, the stopover king, he can get his finger out as well. He is in a comfort zone. There is a lot of things on Brendan Rodgers\u2019 mind, and as I say, he is in a solitary business.
