{"id":218580,"date":"2025-06-27T12:23:09","date_gmt":"2025-06-27T12:23:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/218580\/"},"modified":"2025-06-27T12:23:09","modified_gmt":"2025-06-27T12:23:09","slug":"mackenzie-martin-wales-number-eight-joins-dragons-from-cardiff-on-loan","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/218580\/","title":{"rendered":"Mackenzie Martin: Wales number eight joins Dragons from Cardiff on loan"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\"><b class=\"ssrcss-1xjjfut-BoldText e5tfeyi3\">Wales number eight Mackenzie Martin will join Dragons from Cardiff on loan for the 2025-26 season.<\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Martin made his Cardiff debut against Stormers in November 2023 and was given his Wales debut during the 2024 Six Nations.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">The 21-year-old found his opportunities limited in the Cardiff back row in the 2024-25 campaign and will link up with Dragons next season.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Martin becomes the club&#8217;s 10th new recruit alongside Fetuli Paea, Tinus de Beer, Thomas Young, Wyn Jones, Dillon Lewis, Fine Inisi, Levi Douglas, Seb Davies and Harry Beddall.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">&#8220;We&#8217;re looking forward to welcoming Mackenzie and I know he is motivated to make a big impression in our group,&#8221; said Dragons head coach Filo Tiatia. <\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">&#8220;Mackenzie is an international class back row who will increase the competition in our squad for the number eight jersey, alongside Aaron Wainwright, Solomone Funaki and Harrison Keddie.&#8221;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Wales number eight Mackenzie Martin will join Dragons from Cardiff on loan for the 2025-26 season.
