{"id":218600,"date":"2025-06-27T12:34:10","date_gmt":"2025-06-27T12:34:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/218600\/"},"modified":"2025-06-27T12:34:10","modified_gmt":"2025-06-27T12:34:10","slug":"jake-paul-fight-julio-cesar-chavez-jr-says-everybody-knows-the-american-is-not-a-good-boxer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/218600\/","title":{"rendered":"Jake Paul fight: Julio Cesar Chavez Jr says &#8220;everybody knows&#8221; the American is not a &#8220;good boxer&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\"><b class=\"ssrcss-1xjjfut-BoldText e5tfeyi3\">Julio Cesar Chavez Sr believes his son will leave Jake Paul running around the ring &#8220;like a chicken without a head&#8221; when they meet on Saturday in California.<\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Paul, 28, faces 39-year-old Julio Cesar Chavez Jr in a 10-round cruiserweight bout at the Honda Center.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">The son of legendary Mexican fighter, Chavez Jr was world champion at middleweight in 2012 but has endured a chequered record since, winning eight of his last 13 fights.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Paul says a win over Chavez Jr will kick off a &#8220;title run&#8221;, but Sr ridiculed the American at a news conference on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">&#8220;Jake Paul just fought against Mike Tyson, who didn&#8217;t even throw one punch,&#8221; he said, referencing Paul&#8217;s drab fight against 58-year-old <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/sport\/boxing\/articles\/ceqxvxnyq7lo\" class=\"ssrcss-k8mrr8-InlineLink e1kn3p7n0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mike Tyson last November.<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">&#8220;This is not Mike Tyson.
