Sheffield Wednesday could suffer a blow in their pursuit of appointing Danny Rohl\u2019s successor.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Danny Rohl\u2019s tenure at Sheffield Wednesday is coming to an end<\/a>, with Dejphon Chansiri willing to compromise on letting the German go.<\/p>\n

Whilst such a decision should have been made sooner, Sheffield Wednesday<\/a> will benefit from making a swift appointment of Rohl\u2019s successor early on in pre-season.<\/p>\n

One option that Chansiri could turn to is Sheffield Wednesday assistant Henrik Pedersen<\/a>, who would be considered a sound appointment amongst the current players and staff.<\/p>\n

However, such an appointment may now be quite difficult as one Premier League side looks to make a move for Pedersen ahead of the 2025\/26 season.<\/p>\n

Sheffield Wednesday will have to face competition from Premier League outfit Brentford this summer if they wish to appoint Henrik Pedersen, as, per a report by The Star<\/a>, the Bees are keen to bring the Dane in as part of new boss Keith Andrews\u2019 coaching set-up.<\/p>\n

Pedersen also has interest from abroad, with Aalborg notably sounding him out as an option to become their new head coach.<\/p>\n

The Owls will be hoping that Pedersen\u2019s love for Sheffield and South Yorkshire could play a part in his decision, as well as the prospect of becoming head coach.<\/p>\n

Whether Sheffield Wednesday do try their best to bring in Pedersen, or alternatively look elsewhere, such a decision needs to be made swiftly to ensure that pre-season is not affected by the managerial merry-go-round.<\/p>\n

Pedersen is understandably the top option for Chansiri to appoint because of his familiarity with the squad, which would make it a smooth transition to bring him into the role, but extra assurances may need to be made about his future to deter Premier League interest.<\/p>\n

It is an incredibly difficult task right now for Sheffield Wednesday to compete financially with anyone, let alone Premier League Brentford, and such a decision may simply come down to whether Pedersen fancies the Premier League or leading his own side.<\/p>\n
