Although some members have been given names that span generations before then such as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.express.co.uk\/latest\/prince-william\" data-link-tracking=\"InArticle|AutoLink\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Prince William<\/a>&#8216;s eldest son George &#8211; whose name was previously used by royals such as King George V and George VI.<\/p>\n<p>Other members such as Princess Charlotte and Princess Lilibet &#8211; the young daughters of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.express.co.uk\/latest\/prince-william\" data-link-tracking=\"InArticle|AutoLink\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Prince William<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.express.co.uk\/latest\/prince-harry\" data-link-tracking=\"InArticle|AutoLink\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Prince Harry<\/a> &#8211; were given the middle name of &#8216;Diana&#8217; as a sweet tribute to their paternal grandmother.<\/p>\n<p>Princess Alexandra, who is the only daughter of the Duke of Kent and Princess Marina of Greece and Denmark, was given four middle names, with the third being rather unexpected &#8211; Olga.<\/p>\n<p>The royal, who was born on Christmas Day in 1936, was named Alexandra Helen Elizabeth Olga Christabel &#8211; with her last middle name thought to pay homage to the day she arrived.<\/p>\n<p>Princess Michael of Kent, who married Prince Michael of Kent in 1978, was named Baroness Marie-Christine Anna Agnes Hedwig Ida von Reibnit at the time of her birth in 1945.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.express.co.uk\/latest\/princess-eugenie\" data-link-tracking=\"InArticle|AutoLink\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Princess Eugenie<\/a>&#8216;s husband Jack Brooksbank, who married his wife in 2018, was given two middle names &#8211; Christopher and Stamp.<\/p>\n<p>The couple&#8217;s oldest son August, who was born in February 2021, was given the middle name of Hawke.<\/p>\n<p>The now-four-year-old was named after his great-grandfather &#8211; the late Queen&#8217;s husband &#8211; Prince Philip and a great-grandfather on Jack&#8217;s side, Rev.
