Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana suffered a disappointing season, and question marks still surround his future.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Manchester United<\/a> spent big money on Andre Onana in 2023, luring the goalkeeper away from Inter.<\/p>\n

Erik ten Hag made Onana his top target to replace David De Gea, having previously worked together at Ajax.<\/p>\n

Two years on, Onana has done little to justify his price tag and has struggled for top form at Old Trafford.<\/p>\n

Many United fans have lost faith in Onana and would not be against a new stopper coming in this summer.<\/p>\n

Monaco have shown an interest in Onana<\/a>, but a move to the Ligue 1 side looks tricky to say the least.<\/p>\n

Reports suggest Monaco\u2019s move for Onana has gone cold<\/a>, meaning the Cameroonian stopper could stay.<\/p>\n

That isn\u2019t preventing United from eyeing other goalkeepers, though, and speculation is mounting over Atalanta\u2019s Marco Carnesecchi.<\/p>\n

Speculation last weekend named Carnesecchi as United\u2019s ideal replacement<\/a> should Onana move on this summer.<\/p>\n

The rumours continue as SportItalia<\/a> claim that United have spoken to Atalanta and are ready to offer around \u20ac40million (\u00a334million) for Carnesecchi.<\/p>\n

Atalanta are seeking an even higher fee, demanding around \u20ac45million to \u20ac50million (\u00a338.5million to \u00a343million).<\/p>\n

United\u2019s proposed fee isn\u2019t too far away, but it\u2019s dependent on Onana moving on.<\/p>\n

Saudi Arabian clubs are understood to be interested in Onana, but United may find it difficult to finalise a move for the Italian without first securing Onana\u2019s sale.<\/p>\n

Carnesecchi certainly won\u2019t want to risk being stuck as a second-choice stopper at Old Trafford, and United will have other priorities as things stand.<\/p>\n

Carnesecchi has become a star for Atalanta, emerging as their first-choice goalkeeper over the last two seasons.<\/p>\n

The 6ft 5in star has a huge future ahead of him at 24, and United will keep him in mind for the summer transfer window.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Manchester United also ask about Ederson<\/strong><\/p>\n

SportItalia add that United\u2019s interest in raiding Atalanta doesn\u2019t end with Carnesecchi.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s suggested that United also asked for more information on a potential deal for Atalanta midfielder Ederson.<\/p>\n

The Brazilian has been linked with United for a long time now, having emerged as one of Italian football\u2019s top midfielders.<\/p>\n

United allegedly wanted Ederson<\/a> if Amorim had won the Europa League, which sadly failed to materialise.<\/p>\n

Reports claim United want a midfielder on loan this summer<\/a>, and talks with Atalanta may have involved asking for a loan with an obligation to buy next summer.<\/p>\n
