Three players made their tournament debuts at the 2023 World Cup, while seven will do so at this summer’s tournament.

England go into the tournament on mixed form. They scored 11 goals at home combined against Portugal and Belgium, while also beating pre-tournament favourites Spain 1-0 at Wembley.

However, in the reverse games against those nations, they lost to Spain and Belgium and were held to a draw by Portugal.

England won’t have home comforts at this summer’s tournament in Switzerland. Wiegman will be keen for a big result to help build confidence before playing in the ‘group of death’ at Euro 2025.

Focused 👊 pic.twitter.com/9OIOLlTGpl

— Lionesses (@Lionesses) June 26, 2025

England vs Jamaica betting odds

According to the best UK betting sites, England are overwhelming favourites to beat Jamaica on Sunday.

At the time of writing, the Lionesses are priced at 1/100 to pick up the victory.

Meanwhile, a draw is available at 22/1 and a shock defeat is priced at a massive 55/1.

England team news

There is a strong chance that whatever team Sarina Wiegman selects against Jamaica will make England’s starting XI against France.

England don’t have any injury concerns at this moment in time. Lauren James has recently returned from injury so will likely not make the starting XI.

However, she could be one of many changes made at the start of the second-half.

Jamaica meanwhile are missing a handful of star players.
