How does the 28-year-old maintain her fantastic figure? Here are her diet and fitness tips.<\/p>\n<p>Lori lifts weights at The Dog Pound. She shared her workout via an Instagram video, doing pull ups to squats, and flaunting her flat abs in a crop top and leggings. \u201cI usually try to switch it up and do more cardio some days and more strength training on others,\u201d the <a rel=\"noopener noreferrer external\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/blog.prettylittlething.com\/january-fitness-with-lori-harvey\/\">Pretty Little Thing<\/a> ambassador said in an interview with their blog. Her typical workout starts with a five minute warmup, followed by a few circuits of strength training, \u201ceither lower or upper body depending on what day it is and I always finish with ab work,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>Lori keeps her kitchen stocked with healthy food. \u201cI always keep some fruit around, I love strawberries and pomegranates. Lots of water. And some type of breakfast foods like eggs or oatmeal,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>Lori loves boxing. <a rel=\"noopener noreferrer external\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.health.harvard.edu\/exercise-and-fitness\/punch-up-your-exercise-routine-with-fitness-boxing\">Harvard Health<\/a> maintains that boxing is a great way to build strength, improve balance, posture, hand-eye coordination, boost mood and endurance, and helps increase alertness.<\/p>\n<p>She also does pilates. \u201cWe had the booty band on the entire time,\u201d she told <a rel=\"noopener noreferrer external\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bustle.com\/entertainment\/lori-harvey-relationship-career-quotes\">Bustle<\/a> in an interview conducted right after her Pilates class. \u201cI just feel muscles working that I didn\u2019t even know I had, but that is what I\u2019m really into right now.\u201d Why is Pilates a good workout? According to the <a rel=\"noopener noreferrer external\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/dahlc.mayoclinic.org\/2014\/06\/16\/pilates-overview\/\">Mayo Clinic<\/a>, the workout has many benefits, as it \u201cstrengthens the body\u2019s inner core while increasing its flexibility, resulting in improved overall health.\u201d It can also promote longer, leaner muscles, injury prevention, stress, and back pain relief, enhanced athletic performance, and heightened mind-body awareness.df44d9eab23ea271ddde7545ae2c09ec<\/p>\n<p>Lori was a competitive equestrian for many years. \u201cIt\u2019s very freeing. My mind constantly is going at a million things 24\/7; it\u2019s hard for me to shut my brain down. When I\u2019m on a horse, literally that is all I\u2019m thinking about: me in that moment and me and that horse. You have to be very in tune to the horse and what\u2019s going on, and picking up on them and the environment, and making sure there\u2019s not anything around that could maybe spook them or scare them,\u201d she told Bustle. \u201cI did show jumping, so I\u2019m paying attention to my distance from the jumps and the setup, and is [the horse] positioned right? So many things go into it, but it\u2019s a very freeing experience.\u201d According to the <a rel=\"noopener noreferrer external\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.heart.org\/en\/healthy-living\/healthy-bond-for-life-pets\/pet-owners\/horses-have-heart\/6-health-benefits-of-horses\">American Heart Association<\/a>, riding horses is great for your health. It boosts cardiovascular health, builds core strength, burns calories, and lowers blood pressure.
