Manchester United\u2019s pursuit of Bryan Mbeumo remains in the final stages this weekend.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Ineos are pushing hard to ensure that Bryan Mbeumo<\/a> is holding up a Manchester United<\/a> shirt in time for pre-season.<\/p>\n

Brentford have proven a tricky seller, holding out for the optimal price for their star player in a summer that Thomas Frank also departed, joining Tottenham<\/a>.<\/p>\n

United have had two bids rejected by Brentford<\/a>, however, the most recent worth \u00a355m plus another \u00a37.5m in add-ons is thought to be very close to getting a deal done.<\/p>\n

Due to this, United remains confident of signing Mbeumo<\/a> in the coming days. However, most importantly Ruben Amorim will want the forward through the door in time for when United return for pre-season on July 7<\/a>.<\/p>\n

All parties want the deal to go through, with Mbeumo telling Brentford he only wants United<\/a>. Well now, it looks like this weekend will still see movement in the deal.<\/p>\n

Signing Mbeumo is seen as a huge statement by United<\/a>, beating out Champions League sides Tottenham and Newcastle for his signature.<\/p>\n

The deal has been close for weeks, but now Fabrizio Romano has shared an update that United are looking to put an end to the pursuit.<\/p>\n

Romano took to Instagram, revealing that United remain \u2018in active talks\u2019 to sign the Cameroon international this summer.<\/p>\n

The transfer expert then added that the bid is \u2018to be improved\u2019, which would likely be a third and final considering Ineos\u2019 desire to avoid sagas, and also the offers are already at a level Brentford should be happy with.<\/p>\n

Romano says that club-to-club negotiations are continuing over the final details including add-ons and fee structure.<\/p>\n

All of this points toward an agreement being reached in the next few days at the latest.<\/p>\n

Mbeumo provisionally set for medical next week<\/p>\n

Despite no agreement found just yet, United are eager to get this done and as a result, are already provisionally booking Mbeumo\u2019s medical.<\/p>\n

TalkSPORT<\/a> have claimed that United have pencilled in the medical for next week, while the clubs negotiate over the final transfer fee and structure.<\/p>\n

Taking such as step without agreement would not be done unless United were very confident that things would be wrapped up in time.<\/p>\n
