<\/p>\nManchester United face Lyon in the Europa League quarter-final on Thursday<\/p>\n
Manchester United could be without as many as seven players for this week’s Europa League<\/a> quarter-final second leg against Lyon.<\/p>\n The Reds welcome the Ligue 1 side to Old Trafford<\/a> on Thursday with the aggregate score level at 2-2 after a couple of mistakes from Andre Onana allowed the French outfit to snatch a draw at the Parc Olympique Lyonnais last week.<\/p>\n United, though, face the prospect of being without several players for the tie, with Joshua Zirkzee, a scorer in France last week, set to be sidelined.<\/p>\n READ MORE: <\/strong>Zirkzee, Amad, De Ligt – Manchester United injury news and return dates ahead of Lyon fixture<\/a><\/p>\n READ MORE: <\/strong>I saw Ruben Amorim’s Man United instruction just before Newcastle goal that summed up their biggest problem<\/a><\/p>\n Zirkzee was substituted at the start of the second half in United’s 4-1 defeat at Newcastle United on Sunday after suffering a thigh injury, with Amorim later confirming that the Dutchman is unlikely to feature against Lyon.<\/p>\n Meanwhile, Matthijs de Ligt, Tobias Collyer, Ayden Heaven and Amad are also set to sit out of Thursday’s second leg as they continue their recovers from injury.<\/p>\n All four players have sat out of United’s last few games but are in with a chance of featuring for United before the end of the season.<\/p>\n But whether Lisandro Martinez and Johnny Evans will play for United this season is up in the air.<\/p>\n Martinez has been sidelined since February, when he suffered an ACL injury against Crystal Palace.<\/p>\n Evans, meanwhile, has not featured for United since December as he continues to recover from a long-term issue.<\/p>\n After Thursday’s Europa League clash against Lyon, United face Wolverhampton Wanders in the Premier League<\/a>.<\/p>\n Here at the Manchester Evening News, we\u2019re dedicated to bringing you the best Manchester United coverage and analysis.<\/p>\n Make sure you don\u2019t miss out on the latest United news by joining our free WhatsApp group.
