A 50-year old woman has been arrested after the suspicious death of a man in Newry. <\/p>\n

Emergency services were called to the Fisher Park area of the city shortly before 1pm, after reports that a man in his 40s had sustained a serious injury.<\/p>\n

The man received medical treatment at the scene before being taken to hospital, but later died from his injuries.<\/p>\n

The 50-year-old woman has been arrested in connection with the investigation and remains in police custody.<\/p>\n

Detective Chief Inspector Tom Phillips said: \u201cOur investigation is at an early stage and we are working to establish the circumstances surrounding the man\u2019s death.<\/p>\n

\u201cCordons are in place within the Fisher Park area as officers conduct further enquiries into what happened.\u201d<\/p>\n
