Alec Baldwin<\/a><\/strong> is making his health and fitness a priority.<\/p>\n

On the latest episode of The Baldwins<\/a>, the 67-year-old actor and his wife, 41-year-old Hilaria Baldwin<\/strong>, tried an at-home yoga session.<\/p>\n

\u201cAlec coming and working out, being a little bit more active, can only help,\u201d Hilaria, said. \u201cHe’s taken like exercise, a couple yoga classes with me over the past 13 years, not his thing. We tried to run together a few times. It’s just not his thing.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd it\u2019s not just the age difference, it’s just that he’s a theater kid and I\u2019m a jock,\u201d she continued.<\/p>\n

As Alec explained, the stressful events of the past year (which included him being charged in the shooting death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins<\/strong>) have taken a toll on his physical well-being.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt really, really negatively affected my health, and I wasn’t like that,\u201d he admitted. \u201cNo matter what I had, my hip hurt, this hurt. I had energy, and now this sucked a lot of the energy out of me. And so a year from now, I want to have put a lot of focus on my health and have that be very different.\u201d<\/p>\n

The 30 Rock star said that his physical activity levels started dropping off after he turned 40.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo to be married to somebody who\u2019s as physically fit as you, as I\u2019m kind of slipping \u2014 my strength and my coordination\u2014 it is bizarre,\u201d he told Hilaria. \u201cI just want to get healthy.\u201d<\/p>\n

Alec has made major body transformations in the past. He went on to recall the strict measures he took to drop 25 pounds for his 2013 film, Blue Jasmine.<\/p>\n

\u201cI didn’t have no pasta, no potatoes, no candy, no sugar, and I lost probably 25 pounds,\u201d he said. \u201cYou see me in the movie and I look trim, comparatively speaking, but I did have the barbecue sauce in my hair.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to Hilaria, after just a few weeks, Alec’s efforts were already paying off.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m seeing you more at the gym, I\u2019m seeing you calmer,\u201d she said. \u201cIt\u2019s gonna take us a really long time to let this sink and learn how to live again.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Alec Baldwin is making his health and fitness a priority.
