{"id":223081,"date":"2025-06-29T04:33:11","date_gmt":"2025-06-29T04:33:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/223081\/"},"modified":"2025-06-29T04:33:11","modified_gmt":"2025-06-29T04:33:11","slug":"bristols-best-and-worst-primary-schools-by-progress-scores","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/223081\/","title":{"rendered":"Bristol&#8217;s best and worst primary schools by progress scores"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Just over half of pupils meet the expected standard<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/0_AD_BL_01-08-2024_northbristoloutstanding_04JPG.jpg\" alt=\"Westbury Park Primary School was praised for its quality of teaching and for pupils' achievement being outstanding.\" loading=\"eager\"  \/>Westbury Park Primary School (Image: Google Maps)<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">The best and worst primary schools by progress scores in Bristol have been revealed.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">In May, we shared the <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bristolpost.co.uk\/news\/bristol-news\/bristols-best-worst-secondary-schools-10167416\" target=\"_self\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">data for Bristol&#8217;s secondary schools<\/a>, with the Government data showing the city currently has five secondary schools being rated as &#8220;well above average&#8221; for its Progress 8 scores.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">And we have now looked at the data for <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bristolpost.co.uk\/all-about\/education\" target=\"_self\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">Bristol&#8217;s primary schools<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Across the city, 56 per cent of pupils met the expected standard at Key Stage 2 in 2024 &#8211; which means they achieve a scaled score of 100 or more in their reading and maths tests, and their teacher assesses them as &#8216;working at the expected standard&#8217; or better in writing.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">The average reading score across Bristol is 105, while the average score in maths is 104.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">But here are the best and worst primary schools in the city by progress scores:<\/p>\n<p>Bristol&#8217;s best primary schools<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">% of pupils meeting expected standard<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">1. Bishop Road Primary School &#8211; 81 %<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">6. Minerva Primary School &#8211; 80%<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">7. E-Act St Ursula&#8217;s Academy &#8211; 77%<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">8. Evergreen Primary Academy &#8211; 74%<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">9.
