TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) – Arizona incoming freshman Koa Peat and Team USA got off to a strong start at the FIBA U19 World Cup in Switzerland.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The U.S., coached by Arizona Men’s Basketball Coach Tommy Lloyd, beat Australia 88-73.\u00a0<\/p>\n

It was all Peat to start the game. He scored seven points in the first three minutes.<\/p>\n

Peat did get into foul trouble, picking up four by the end of the third quarter.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Even so, the forward finished with a double-double, 17 points and 10 rebounds.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Peat is looking to become the first player to ever win three FIBA Youth World Cups. He won a pair of U17 titles.\u00a0<\/p>\n
