href=\"https:\/\/www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk\/all-about\/m60\" target=\"\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">M60<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Emergency services rushed to the crash on the M60 at around 3.56am this morning (June 29).<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">A 57-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene, <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk\/all-about\/greater-manchester-police\" target=\"\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">Greater Manchester Police<\/a> have confirmed.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">The M60 has been closed in both directions for hours, as police remain at the scene.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">The motorway is &#8216;closed due to accident investigation work from J23 A635 Manchester Road J23 (Ashton Under Lyne) to J21 A663 Broadway J21 (Hollinwood)&#8217;, National Highways has said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">A spokesperson for the force said: &#8220;At around 3:56am this morning (Sunday 29 June 2025) emergency services responded to reports of a road traffic collision on the M60 between junctions 21-20.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">&#8220;Sadly, a 57-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">&#8220;Lane closures remain in place this morning while officers conduct their enquiries.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/2_HVR_MEN_290625_m60.jpg\" loading=\"lazy\"  \/>The M60 is closed in both directions<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">National Highways has issued an update, saying: &#8220;The M60 in Greater Manchester is closed anti-clockwise between J23 near (Ashton-Under-Lyne) and J21 (<a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk\/all-about\/chadderton\" target=\"\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">Chadderton<\/a>) due to a police-led Incident which occurred shortly before 04:00 this morning.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">&#8220;The clockwise carriageway is closed between J22 and J23.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">&#8220;Greater Manchester Police continue their investigation work at the scene.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">&#8220;National Highways Traffic Officers are also in attendance assisting with traffic management.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh
