One of Birmingham’s landmarks is the Black Sabbath<\/a> Bridge – an homage to Brum’s godfathers of heavy metal.<\/p>\n

It features a bench boasting faces of all four band members – guitarist Tony Iommi, drummer Bill Ward, bassist Geezer Butler and vocalist Ozzy Osbourne.<\/p>\n

First launched on February 9, 2019 at Saint Luke\u2019s Church on Gas Street to a sell-out audience, it was later moved to its home on Broad Street and has been a popular haunt for music fans from across the world ever since.<\/p>\n

Birmingham<\/a> steel fabrication brothers Ben and Phil Lungely constructed the bench, using vandal-proof materials to keep it safe, and Jewellery Quarter-based Etch Components helped create the famous images we see today.<\/p>\n

The bench was officially unveiled on Broad Street, Birmingham by Tony Iommi and Geezer Butler on June 26, 2019.<\/p>\n

They arrived on a barge that took them under Black Sabbath Bridge before coming to sit on the bench and celebrate the new landmark with fans.<\/p>\n

Where to find Black Sabbath Bridge and Bench<\/p>\n

You can find the bench on Birmingham’s iconic Broad Street<\/a> next to the metal railings of Black Sabbath Bridge over the city’s picturesque Gas Street Basin canal network.<\/p>\n

Some people argued that it may have been better placed in the museum, but organisers were adamant it was to be a public piece of art that fans could interact with.<\/p>\n

This is a bustling area, packed with nightlife and the pubs and restaurants are well worth a visit in Brindleyplace for waterside dining and drinks.<\/p>\n

How to get a live cam selfie on the Black Sabbath Bench<\/p>\n

There is a live camera feed, which enables you to take a picture of yourself on the bench with friends and family.<\/p>\n

Simply scan the QR code on the bench to access the live stream, take your picture, and download.<\/p>\n
