\n The Bantams have been one of the busiest League One clubs in the market after bringing in eight players since winning promotion.\n<\/p>\n
\n Crawley striker Will Swan is the latest new addition in the build-up to the Valley Parade curtain-raiser against Wycombe on August 2.\n<\/p>\n
\n But the City boss insists the existing squad who got them up last season deserve just as much attention.\n<\/p>\n
\n \u201cIt\u2019s interesting when we come back to training and there are new players,\u201d said Alexander. \u201cYou\u2019re looking at the ones already here and how they interact and rise to the challenge.\n <\/p>\n
\n \u201cAlways at this time of year and January, it\u2019s all about recruitment and people talk about the new players a lot.\n<\/p>\n
\n \u201cI get that but I also think it\u2019s really important for us to remember the many good players we already have here. They\u2019ve got us to where we are.\n<\/p>\n
\n \u201cI genuinely believe there are players who haven\u2019t played at this level and can make that progress.\n<\/p>\n
\n \u201cWe believe the improvements we have to make as a team going forward into League One, those individuals can do the same.\n<\/p>\n

\n \u201cThere\u2019s a place for new recruitment and bringing in new players. But there\u2019s also a responsibility on us to develop players that are already here and we feel can continue the journey with us.\n<\/p>\n
\n \u201cThat\u2019s part of the reason we signed Ciaran (Kelly) and there are others we think have the attributes and the attitude to put the work in.\u201d\n<\/p>\n
\n After Kelly penned a one-year deal, City are still hopeful of good news with Lewis Richards as he considers their new contract offer.\n<\/p>\n
\n But Alexander is pleased to have bolstered the squad so much at this early stage of pre-season.\n<\/p>\n
\n He added: \u201cI think there\u2019s still a bit of work for us to do and improvement to make.\n<\/p>\n
\n \u201cBut we\u2019re delighted with our recruitment. What we\u2019ve brought in fits the profile of what we look for.\n<\/p>\n
\n \u201cTo have seven in by the first week of pre-season, so we\u2019re reasonably strong in numbers, is really encouraging.\n<\/p>\n
\n \u201cWe play a certain way, defend in a certain way, press a certain way and the longer we have with the individuals to form one group the better.\n<\/p>\n
\n \u201cThere are a lot of players from last season but you\u2019ve got seven recruits so it\u2019s going to be a new team with the change in personnel.\n<\/p>\n
