He has been free to speak to overseas\u00a0teams since January.<br \/><b data-stringify-type=\"bold\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Partey remained an important part of Mikel Arteta\u2019s side during 2024-25, accumulating 52 appearances in all competitions.<\/p>\n<p>Arsenal are reinforcing\u00a0his area of the field this summer, with a deal for Real Sociedad\u2019s Martin Zubimendi regarded\u00a0as done.\u00a0<a class=\"c-link c-link--focus-visible c-link--underline\" tabindex=\"-1\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/6413081\/2025\/06\/10\/arsenal-transfer-latest-news-manchester-united-liverpool-chelsea-barcelona-real-madrid\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-stringify-link=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/6413081\/2025\/06\/10\/arsenal-transfer-latest-news-manchester-united-liverpool-chelsea-barcelona-real-madrid\/\" data-sk=\"tooltip_parent\" data-remove-tab-index=\"true\">The Athletic has reported<\/a>\u00a0Real Sociedad have expressed a preference for the move to be ratified at the start of July for accounting purposes.<\/p>\n<p>Arsenal are also\u00a0<a class=\"c-link c-link--focus-visible c-link--underline\" tabindex=\"-1\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/6450226\/2025\/06\/25\/christian-norgaard-arsenal-brentford-transfer\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-stringify-link=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/6450226\/2025\/06\/25\/christian-norgaard-arsenal-brentford-transfer\/\" data-sk=\"tooltip_parent\" data-remove-tab-index=\"true\">in the process of finalising an agreement with Brentford to sign Christian Norgaard<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Partey moved to Arsenal in October 2020 from Atletico Madrid after his \u20ac50million (now \u00a342.7m; $57.3m) release clause was met and has made 167 appearances, scoring nine goals.<\/p>\n<p>Partey joined Atletico in 2012, before he had made his professional debut.
