The Duchess of Edinburgh will carry out a solo royal engagement this morning at Hampton Court Garden Festival in Surrey.<\/p>\n

Sophie is scheduled to attend the Creative Youth and the Community Brain Fashion Show at the prestigious horticultural event.<\/p>\n

The Community Brain utilises various forms of arts, local history, social enterprise and community-led regeneration initiatives.<\/p>\n

Their work focuses on restoring significance and fostering pride in local areas through creative projects.<\/p>\n

Sophie’s appearance at today’s event comes whilst her husband, the Duke of Edinburgh, continues his seven-day tour of Canada.<\/p>\n

Prince Edward, 61, began his official visit on June 26 and is not expected to return to the UK until July 2.<\/p>\n

Over the weekend, the Duchess demonstrated her maternal support by accompanying her daughter Lady Louise to the Sandringham Festival of Carriage Driving.<\/p>\n

On Sunday, she appeared at the equestrian event wearing a striking red dress by the Italian brand Giuliva Heritage.<\/p>\n

Sophie’s attendance at the carriage driving festival highlighted her commitment to supporting her children’s interests.<\/p>\n

Her presence at both events underscores her active role in royal duties whilst Prince Edward fulfils his commitments abroad.<\/p>\n

Prince Edward has been engaging warmly with Canadian citizens during his current tour.<\/p>\n

Whilst visiting Charlottetown, he encountered local resident Barbara Bernard who made an unusual request.<\/p>\n

The Duke’s Canadian itinerary has included participation in the Atlantic Canada Education Forum at the Shaw Building and a youth luncheon at Government House.<\/p>\n
