While Prince William and Duke Harry have long been reported to hold a rift between them despite being brothers, the bad terms appear to have translated between their respective wives as well. Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales, and Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex<\/a>, are not believed to be on good terms, and a revelation from the Duke of Sussex even claimed the former once demanded an apology from the latter.<\/p>\n

As Harry illuminated in his bombshell memoir Spare, in the early days of his marriage to Markle, Middleton mentioned once forgetting about something inconsequential. This prompted a joking comment from Markle as she told her sister-in-law that she had \u201cbaby brain\u201d\u2014a colloquial term that refers to \u201cmemory problems, poor concentration, and absent-mindedness\u201d that some experience during and after pregnancy, per the Mayo Clinic.<\/p>\n

However, this comment didn\u2019t exactly sit well with the Princess, who had recently given birth to Prince Louis when this went down. Apparently, she was so \u201coffended\u201d by the comment that the royal gripped her chair tightly enough that her fingers turned white. She allegedly said (per E! Online<\/a>), <\/p>\n

Middleton even reportedly demanded that the Duchess apologize to her.<\/p>\n

Meghan Markle wasn\u2019t on the same page as Kate Middleton\u2019s upset reaction<\/strong><\/p>\n

According to the detailing of the incident in Harry\u2019s memoir, Prince William<\/a>, Duke Harry, Princess Catherine, and Duchess Meghan attempted to patch up the argument over tea at Kensington Palace in June 2018. But things ostensibly didn\u2019t quite go in their favor.<\/p>\n

At the time, as Harry wrote, William even pointed his finger at his sister-in-law, arguing that the comment she had made at his wife was \u201crude\u201d and was not appropriate in Britain. In response, Harry\u2019s wife bluntly told him to \u201ctake your finger out of my face.\u201d<\/p>\n

Turns out, Markle was reportedly confused by Middleton\u2019s upset reaction to her comment. From her perspective, the remark she made to her sister-in-law was simply how she spoke with her friends. But it\u2019s clear the two didn\u2019t exactly see eye-to-eye, thus leading to their reportedly falling apart over a simple comment.<\/p>\n

While Kate Middleton<\/a> demanding an apology from Meghan Markle<\/a> was one thing, other revelations from Harry in his memoir revealed that it wasn\u2019t the only time that the two clashed over something. Previously, around a few days before the Duke and Duchess<\/a>\u2019s royal marriage, there was reported disagreement between Middleton and Markle over the bridesmaid dresses.<\/p>\n

Per Harry, the Princess had messaged the Duchess before the wedding regarding Princess Charlotte\u2019s dress not fitting well. This had Markle suggesting using a palace tailor to make the alterations. When they spoke in person soon after, Middleton reportedly mentioned that the 3-year-old princess felt so bad about the dress being too big for her that she cried about it.<\/p>\n

If that wasn\u2019t enough, Middleton also reportedly turned down Markle\u2019s offer of getting the tailor to perform the necessary alterations to the \u201cFrench haute couture dress\u201d, which were custom-made by Givenchy\u2019s then-creative director Clare Waight Keller, telling the bride-to-be that all the bridesmaid dressed instead needed to be completely remade (per Harper\u2019s Bazaar<\/a>).<\/p>\n

This had Markle, already stressed about everything, becoming quite upset after hearing that, which was followed by Harry reportedly finding her crying on the kitchen floor afterward.
