Sources said that the club \u201cmet recently with officials at City Hall\u201d after Mayor Sadiq Khan \u201cpublicly urged them to speak with his team about whether they wanted <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportsbusinessjournal.com\/Articles\/2024\/09\/10\/chelsea-stadium\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.sportsbusinessjournal.com\/Articles\/2024\/09\/10\/chelsea-stadium\/\">to leave Stamford Bridge for Earl\u2019s Court<\/a> or redevelop their existing home.\u201d Rumsby noted news of the meeting between the club and the mayor\u2019s office comes more than nine months after Chelsea\u2019s prospects of relocating to Earl\u2019s Court were dismissed by the company in charge of the development of the site.
