Terence Crawford<\/a> and Canelo Alvarez<\/a> are are less than three months away from their highly-anticipated mega-fight.<\/p>\n

The pound-for-pound stars are set to face each other on Saturday September 13 at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas<\/a>, with Canelo making a defence of his undisputed super-middleweight championship.<\/p>\n

The fight was made official when Canelo and \u2018Bud\u2019 faced-off for the first time on May 3 after the Mexican icon defeated former IBF super-middleweight champion William Scull<\/a> to achieve undisputed status at 168lbs for the second time. It was the Mexican\u2019s sixth straight points win and a performance that led many to say he had lost a step from his prime years.<\/p>\n

In an interview with Carl Froch<\/a>, Crawford was asked to share his thoughts on Canelo as a fighter, and whether he believes the Mexican great is \u2018past his best\u2019.<\/p>\n

\u201cI wouldn\u2019t say that. I just feel like, you know, it just takes certain fighters to motivate other fighters, you know, like you\u2019re waking up the sleeping giant, the fights that he\u2019s been fighting, he\u2019s just like \u2018Oh that means yeah, these guys\u2019 but I think him knowing that calibre of fighter that I am is going to push him to rise to the occasion, so I\u2019m looking to fight the best Canelo Alvarez there is.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

\u2018Bud\u2019 Crawford is making the jump up in two weight classes ahead of his monumental clash with Canelo, having spent the majority of his career campaigning at welterweight.<\/p>\n
