Human remains found washed<\/a> up on Prestwick Beach at the start of June have been linked to a body that was discovered on the coast of Northern Ireland.<\/p>\n The grim find was made on the popular Ayrshire beach on the morning of Tuesday June 10. A witness claimed at the time that a leg bone with a sock and shoe still attached<\/a> was found.<\/p>\n In the latest update on the sad case, the remains<\/a> have now been identified and linked to a missing person case from outside Scotland.<\/p>\n Glasgow Live<\/a> reports that the remains have been linked to the discovery of a man\u2019s body on the coast of Northern Ireland in May.<\/p>\n A body was found in the coastal village of Millisle, County Down, 15 miles east<\/a> of Belfast, close to the coastal Donaghadee Road.<\/p>\n The death is not being treated as suspicious<\/a> and it is understood the man was not from Northern Ireland.<\/p>\n A Police Scotland spokesperson said: \u201cAround 10.45am on Tuesday, 10 June 2025, we received a report that human remains had been discovered on Prestwick Beach in Ayrshire<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cThe remains have now been identified as those of a missing<\/a> person from outside of Scotland.
