{"id":227487,"date":"2025-06-30T20:29:08","date_gmt":"2025-06-30T20:29:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/227487\/"},"modified":"2025-06-30T20:29:08","modified_gmt":"2025-06-30T20:29:08","slug":"nairn-named-top-seaside-town-in-scotland-according-to-which-survey","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/227487\/","title":{"rendered":"Nairn named top seaside town in Scotland according to Which? survey"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>  <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"rthmb\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml,%3Csvg xmlns=\" http:=\"\" viewbox=\"0 0 2048 1392\" alt=\"Nairn was praised for its scenery in a recent survey.\" data-root=\"\/_media\/img\/\" data-path=\"YN8G13BHWSYG8ECJQ2A9.jpg\" data-ar=\"1.47\"\/>Nairn was praised for its scenery in a recent survey.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.inverness-courier.co.uk\/news\/nairnshire\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Nairn <\/a>has been named as the best seaside town in Scotland, according to a UK-wide survey.<\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s rankings <a href=\"https:\/\/www.which.co.uk\/reviews\/uk-destinations\/article\/uks-best-seaside-towns-alhlx7E2uw1a\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">published by the consumer rights watchdog Which? <\/a>saw Nairn shine above other coastal towns across the country \u2014 particularly for its scenery and peace and quiet, both of which got a five-star ranking from reviewers.<\/p>\n<p>According to Which?, the positioning near the start of the NC500 and close to Inverness Airport make it a popolar destination.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut it&#8217;s worth a visit in its own right,\u201d the publication states.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"rthmb\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml,%3Csvg xmlns=\" http:=\"\" viewbox=\"0 0 4963 3374\" alt=\"Nairn beach. Picture: James Mackenzie<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s four white beaches, backed with dunes, scored four stars in our survey and it garnered five stars for scenery, with the Culbin Forest nearby.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere&#8217;s nothing to choose between it and the equally lovely St Andrews for a Scottish seaside break \u2013 both get a destination score of 76 per cent \u2013 but Nairn also gets five stars for peace and quiet.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"rthmb\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml,%3Csvg xmlns=\" http:=\"\" viewbox=\"0 0 3058 2080\" alt=\"Street market at Taste of Nairn 2025. Pictures: Alexander Williamson.<\/p>\n<p>Four-star ratings were given to the beach and parking, whilst tourist attractions scored three stars.<\/p>\n<p>The overall winner for the UK was Bamburgh, in Northumberland.<\/p>\n<p>The results of the rankings were based on an online survey conducted by Which?
