He made a difference.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">The BFBS official X account also shared the news, writing: &#8216;It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our much-loved colleague, Simon Marlow.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">Simon worked for BFBS worldwide as a radio presenter and producer, most recently as Station Manager at BFBS Northern Ireland.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">It comes after radio broadcaster Darren Scott died after a lengthy battle with stage four <a style=\"font-weight: bold;\" target=\"_self\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/cancer\/index.html\" id=\"mol-9128ac10-3b11-11f0-a5df-f59a88aab1d6\" class=\"class\" rel=\"noopener\">cancer<\/a>\u00a0last month.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">Darren passed away aged 61 after a lengthy battle with\u00a0stage 4 malignant melanoma, South African radio station HOT 102.7FM confirmed in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>   <img decoding=\"async\" id=\"i-b645fac40f20ee20\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/98794981-14862169-It_comes_after_radio_broadcaster_Darren_Scott_died_after_a_lengt-a-6_1751312022828.jpeg\" height=\"785\" width=\"633\" alt=\"It comes after radio broadcaster Darren Scott died after a lengthy battle with stage four cancer last month\" class=\"blkBorder img-share\" style=\"max-width:100%\" loading=\"lazy\" \/>   <\/p>\n<p class=\"imageCaption\">It comes after radio broadcaster Darren Scott died after a lengthy battle with stage four cancer last month\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">Malignant melanoma, also known as metastatic melanoma, is when skin cancer spreads beyond the primary site to other parts of the body, such as the lymph nodes and internal organs.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">Darren is survived by his two sons Mark and Matthew, while his loved ones and colleagues have also flocked to pay tribute to the &#8216;dedicated&#8217; and beloved radio star.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">His former partner\u00a0Sarah-Kate Accetta told East Coast Radio that she and their two sons have to learn to face life without him.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">&#8216;As we make our way back home now, to not only commemorate his life, but to learn how to face life without him, I ask from the bottom of my heart: please pray for the boys,&#8217; she said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">&#8216;Their world has changed forever, and we need every bit of strength we can hold onto.
