Final casting has been announced for 50 First Dates The Musical<\/a>, coming to The Other Palace Theatre<\/strong> in London this autumn.<\/p>\n

Directed and choreographed by Tony Award-winner Casey Nicholaw<\/strong> (The Book of Mormon<\/a>, Hercules<\/a>), 50 First Dates will have its world premiere at The Other Palace from 14 September to 16 November 2025.<\/p>\n

This new musical is an adaptation of the hit 2004 film starring Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore.<\/p>\n

Already announced<\/a> are stars of the show Georgina Castle<\/a><\/strong> (Mean Girls<\/a>, Dirty Dancing, Elf the Musical), as Lucy Whitmore, and Josh St. Clair<\/a><\/strong> (Ghost The Musical<\/a>, Frozen, Wicked) as Henry Roth.<\/p>\n

They will be joined by Georgia Arron\u00a0<\/strong>(Mean Girls)\u00a0as Sharon, Aizaac Aruna\u00a0<\/strong>(Stardust)\u00a0as Miles\/Ensemble,\u00a0Zo\u00eb Ann Bown<\/strong>\u00a0(The Sound Of Music)\u00a0as Miriam,\u00a0Emily Olive Boyd\u00a0<\/strong>(Les Mis\u00e9rables<\/a>)\u00a0as Fran,\u00a0John Marquez\u00a0<\/strong>(The Birthday Party)\u00a0as Marlin Whitmore,\u00a0Natasha O\u2019Brien\u00a0<\/strong>(Mamma Mia!<\/a>)\u00a0as Delilah,\u00a0Aiesha Naomi Pease\u00a0<\/strong>(Wicked)\u00a0as Ukulele Sue,\u00a0David Pendlebury\u00a0<\/strong>(The Phantom Of The Opera<\/a>)\u00a0as Sid,\u00a0Martha Pothen\u00a0<\/strong>(The Frogs)\u00a0as Cora,\u00a0Ricky Rojas\u00a0<\/strong>(Moulin Rouge!<\/a>)\u00a0as Marco,\u00a0Chad Saint Louis\u00a0<\/strong>(Cry-Baby)\u00a0as Sandy, and\u00a0Charlie Toland\u00a0<\/strong>(Sin The Musical)\u00a0as Doug Whitmore.<\/p>\n

The Ensemble features\u00a0Greg Stylianou Burns\u00a0<\/strong>(The Lightning Thief<\/a>), and the Swings are\u00a0Cole Dunn\u00a0<\/strong>(Kinky Boots<\/a>),\u00a0Samuelle Durojaiye\u00a0<\/strong>(Jesus Christ Superstar),\u00a0Paul Kemble\u00a0<\/strong>(Hello, Dolly!), and\u00a0Samantha Thomas\u00a0<\/strong>(Les Mis\u00e9rables).<\/p>\n

The new musical is written by David Rossmer<\/strong> and Steve Rosen<\/strong>, the team behind the Off-Broadway comedy The Other Josh Cohen, based on George Wing\u2019s screenplay for the movie.<\/p>\n

The 50 First Dates story is set against the sunny backdrop of Hawaii, and follows Henry, a charming marine vet, as he falls for Lucy. But there\u2019s a catch \u2014 Lucy suffers from short-term memory loss. Every day, she wakes up with no memory of the previous day!<\/p>\n

Determined to win her over, Henry comes up with new ways to make Lucy fall for him again and again. The result is a heartwarming story filled with catchy songs, comedy, and a message about love and second chances.<\/p>\n

The wider creative team features set and costume design by Fly Davis (Caroline Or Change), lighting design by Aideen Malone (Fiddler on the Roof<\/a>), video design by George Reeve (Stephen Sondheim\u2019s Old Friends), sound design by Adam Fisher (Sunset Boulevard), hair and makeup design by Cynthia De La Rosa (Barcelona), orchestrations and arrangements by Matthew Jackson (Burlesque<\/a>), the musical supervision and musical direction is by Richard Beadle (Hamilton<\/a>), and the casting director is Natalie Gallacher for Natalie Gallacher and Pippa Ailion Casting.<\/p>\n
