Companies in the structurally changing region affected by the coal phase-out can submit funding applications until August, the Ministry of Energy in Magdeburg announced. The focus will be on investments in the production, storage, distribution, and use of climate-friendly hydrogen. Among other things, the energy company Mibrag had postponed the construction of a large electrolyzer at its Profen site.

During electrolysis, water is split into its components, hydrogen and oxygen. The process is highly energy-intensive. Hydrogen is referred to as green when the electricity used for electrolysis comes from wind or solar power. When natural gas is used, it is referred to as gray hydrogen.

READ the latest news shaping the hydrogen market at Hydrogen Central

Germany – New funding programs for the development of green hydrogen, source

Germany – New funding programs for the development of green hydrogen New funding programs for the development of…

[5310
2000,299,5036,1824
0":"post-227806","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-germany","8":"tag-eu","9":"tag-europe","10":"tag-funding","11":"tag-germany
["GET
