\n Residents are asked to place all food and drinks cartons, including Tetra Paks, in the green recycling wheelie bin or bag instead of the recycling box.\n<\/p>\n
\n The change comes in response to new national guidance recommending that cartons be sorted with plastics and cans, which are collected from the green bin or bag.\n<\/p>\n
\n This move aims to streamline the sorting process and enhance recycling efficiency.\n<\/p>\n
\n Councillor Martin Pearcy, chair of the environment committee, said: “These small changes to how we collect cartons are designed to make recycling easier and more straightforward for everyone.\n<\/p>\n
\n “At the same time, we know that recycling is just one part of the picture.\n<\/p>\n
\n “We all need to reduce the amount of waste we produce in the first place.\n<\/p>\n
\n “By working together, we can continue to protect our environment and build a more sustainable future for our communities.”\n<\/p>\n
