As Apple continues to struggle with the development of an upgraded \u201cLLM Siri,\u201d it reportedly asked OpenAI and Anthropic to create versions of their large language models to test on the company\u2019s private cloud infrastructure.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1ymtmqpi _17nnmdy1 _17nnmdy0 _1xwtict1\">As reported by Bloomberg, Rockwell asked his team to test whether Anthropic\u2019s Claude, OpenAI\u2019s ChatGPT, or Google\u2019s Gemini performs better at handling basic requests compared to its own models, with Anthropic\u2019s apparently seen as the most promising. While Google has Gemini AI features for Android and its Pixel lineup, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/news\/652746\/google-samsung-gemini-default-placement-antitrust-trial\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Samsung licenses Google\u2019s AI model<\/a> for its phones. It is also <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2025-06-01\/samsung-nears-wide-ranging-deal-with-perplexity-for-ai-featurescheckout=true\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reportedly<\/a> close to cutting a deal with Perplexity, which <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/command-line-newsletter\/656599\/perplexitys-ceo-on-fighting-google-and-the-coming-ai-browser-war\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">already has a tie-up with Motorola<\/a>.
