{"id":22812,"date":"2025-04-15T19:39:11","date_gmt":"2025-04-15T19:39:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/22812\/"},"modified":"2025-04-15T19:39:11","modified_gmt":"2025-04-15T19:39:11","slug":"red-bulls-next-big-one-given-fresh-helmut-marko-warning-after-bahrain-gp","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/22812\/","title":{"rendered":"Red Bull&#8217;s next &#8216;big one&#8217; given fresh Helmut Marko warning after Bahrain GP"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>From \u201cbig surprise\u201d to being told \u201cnext time\u201d needs to be better, Isack Hadjar has walked the gauntlet with Helmut Marko this season.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>And it all began with a season-opening crash and tears, to which Marko said: \u201cThat was a bit embarrassing.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Isack Hadjar is told \u2018next time it will be better\u2019<\/p>\n<p>Stepping up to Racing Bulls having finished second in Formula 2, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.planetf1.com\/driver\/isack-hadjar\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Hadjar<\/a> didn\u2019t get off the mark in his first two races with his formation lap crash in Australia followed by a P11 in China.<\/p>\n<p>In the latter though, he did qualify in seventh place before a botched strategy, Racing Bulls putting him on a two-stopper, cost him a top ten result.<\/p>\n<p>He broke his duck one race later, racing from seventh to eighth at the chequered flag, losing a place to seven-time World Champion Lewis Hamilton.<\/p>\n<p>F1 2025 head-to-head stats<\/p>\n<p>\ud83d\udc49\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.planetf1.com\/news\/f1-2025-qualifying-head-to-head-team-mates\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">F1 2025: Head-to-head qualifying statistics between team-mates<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\ud83d\udc49\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.planetf1.com\/news\/f1-2025-race-head-to-head-team-mates\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">F1 2025: Head-to-head race statistics between team-mates<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Marko believed Red Bull had found the next big one.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHadjar is the big surprise,\u201d he told the media, including PlanetF1.com. \u201cThis is a circuit he knows but everywhere we come, immediately he\u2019s on speed and everywhere he provides a super performance.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe knew he\u2019s fast, but that he is so consistent, and that he is driving relatively easy, it\u2019s also a surprise for us.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>A very welcome surprise, especially after Liam Lawson fell short when the team decided to put him in the RB21 alongside Max Verstappen before bumping him back to Racing Bulls.<\/p>\n<p>Marko added to <strong>Sky Deutschland<\/strong>: \u201cHadjar has completed the fewest test kilometers in Formula 1 cars and still competes with Antonelli and the like\u2026 Here comes a really big one.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>But a week later in Bahrain, on a track where the Red Bull drivers struggled, Hadjar wasn\u2019t able to record a third successive Q3 appearance, out of qualifying in 12th place.<\/p>\n<p>He fell to 13th in the Grand Prix, undone by a poor start. One that Marko, naturally, noted.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe had a lot of wheel spin at the start, and he was too cautious in qualifying,\u201d the Red Bull motorsport advisor said to Sky Deutschland.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI told him that in Formula 1, you always have to be at the limit.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNext time it will be better.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Next time, which will be the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, the last of the three races in F1 2025\u2019s first triple-header, Hadjar too hopes for a better start.<\/p>\n<p>The 20-year-old revealed he had struggled with his practice starts all weekend, leaving him feeling not at all confident ahead of Sunday\u2019s all-important get-away.<\/p>\n<p>That cost him positions, dropping him into a fierce midfield battle in which he could only recover to P13.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHonestly, since the start of the weekend, our starts have been quite poor,\u201d he told the media, including PlanetF1.com. \u201cI was not really confident at the race start, and had wheel spin forever.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLost two positions before Turn One and then lost more fighting like hell.
