Olivia Rodrigo told fans she was ‘so happy’ to ‘finally’ be performing in Manchester.<\/p>\n

Fresh from her appearance at Glastonbury at the weekend, Rodrigo took to the stage at Co-op Live on Monday night for the first of two nights in Manchester.<\/p>\n

Her Guts World Tour had initially been planned here last May, but was postponed with just 48 hours notice after the venue\u2019s opening week of shows were delayed due to a series of technical issues.<\/p>\n

The two shows were re-arranged for tonight (June 30) and Tuesday night (July 1) – with this evening’s performance coming just 24 hours after her headline set at Glastonbury festival.<\/p>\n

The ‘good 4 u’ singer also performed at Hyde<\/a> Park BST festival in London on Friday, June 27, before headlining the iconic Worthy Farm festival on Sunday, June 29.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re finally here and I\u2019m so happy,\u201d she told the crowd. \u201cAre we ready to have some f****** fun?\u201d<\/p>\n

Telling us she\u2019s still \u2018riding high after her ‘f****** incredible\u2019 weekend, she urged the crowd to sing her Drivers Licence hit louder than the crowd at Glastonbury.<\/p>\n

Crowds had queued for hours ahead of her first Manchester gig, with some saying they had been waiting outside the arena since 7pm on Sunday night and hundreds already lined up by 9am today.<\/p>\n

One fan, Emily, who had travelled from Whitley Bay with her mum Clare, couldn’t contain their excitement after an agonising 13-month wait for the show.<\/p>\n

“I was just so glad when I found out it was actually happening,” Emily said.<\/p>\n

“We kept trying and trying and weren’t being told anything.<\/p>\n

“We were gutted and thought it was going to be cancelled. I became a fan when she was in the High School Musical series and then obviously from Driver’s Licence.
