Carpenter\u2019s fund supports three causes close to her heart: mental health advocacy, LGBTQ+ rights, and animal welfare, according to a release from the nonprofit.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\t\u201cSabrina\u2019s approach to philanthropy shows what\u2019s possible when an artist truly commits to embedding impact across their work,\u201d said PLUS1 CEO Marika Anthony-Shaw in a statement. \u201cSabrina is setting a new standard, one where social impact becomes woven into an artist\u2019s career to create meaningful, lasting change.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tThe Carpenter Fund supports grassroots and community-based organizations including UK-based PAPYRUS, which operates a 24\/7 mental health crisis hotline, and Rainbow Railroad, which assists LGBTQ+ individuals facing persecution globally. The fund also backs the JED Foundation and MusiCares for mental health resources, the LGBTQ National Help Center\u2019s crisis prevention programs, and Best Friends Animal Society\u2019s animal rescue and adoption initiatives.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tCarpenter\u2019s strategy involves embedding fundraising into everything she does, from earmarking a portion of ticket revenue to including charitable components in brand partnerships. Her collaboration with Erewhon, for instance, directed proceeds toward the JED Foundation. The singer has also experimented with creative fundraising approaches like a \u201ccuddle lounge\u201d at her Salt Lake City concert that featured adoptable animals, and a partnership with jewelry brand Catbird on text-to-donate campaigns at venues.<\/p>\n<p>\t\tTrending Stories<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tPLUS1 founder Marika Anthony-Shaw spent nine years as a viola player with Arcade Fire, while leading the band\u2019s philanthropy and community outreach efforts. After the band began donating $1 from each concert ticket to support Haiti relief following the devastating 2010 earthquake, Anthony-Shaw saw the potential to scale the model beyond a single band. In 2014, she left her touring career to found PLUS1.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tCarpenter will release her next album, Man\u2019s Best Friend, on Aug. 29. \u201cIf I really wanted to, I could have stretched out Short n\u2019 Sweet much, much longer,\u201d she <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-features\/sabrina-carpenter-new-album-mans-best-friend-fame-1235359144\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">told <\/a>Rolling Stone in our recent cover story. \u201cBut I\u2019m at that point in my life where I\u2019m like, \u2018Wait a second, there\u2019s no rules.\u2019 If I\u2019m inspired to write and make something new, I would rather do that. Why would I wait three years just for the sake of waiting three years? It\u2019s all about what feels right.
