Paul Casey and Crushers captain Bryson DeChambeau enjoyed a successful tournament at LIV Dallas this week just gone.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Casey<\/a> finished in a tie for second after Patrick Reed<\/a> emerged victorious from a four-man play-off.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, DeChambeau<\/a> finished two shots adrift of the leaders, although his Crushers team won the LIV Golf<\/a> team event by a whopping 11 strokes.<\/p>\n

Maridoe Golf Club in Dallas, Texas, was clearly well-suited to all four members of the Crushers team. Charles Howell III finished in a tie for fifth on five-under par, while Anirban Lahiri ended up in a tie for 11th on three-under par.<\/p>\n

DeChambeau\u2019s contract with LIV is set to expire next year<\/a>, but he has already hinted that he will be putting pen to paper on a new deal.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s obviously great news for LIV Golf, Casey and his other two teammates of course.<\/p>\n

It was only back in March when DeChambeau shared how close he believes Casey is to winning on LIV<\/a>.<\/p>\n

That nearly happened on Sunday in Dallas, and DeChambeau was the first man to console Casey after he lost the sudden death play-off at Maridoe.<\/p>\n

That camaraderie and togetherness is what makes the Crushers such a strong team.<\/p>\n

Paul Casey shares Bryson DeChambeau\u2019s plans for his team on LIV Golf<\/p>\n

The Crushers have been the dominant force on LIV Golf in the team competition through nine events so far this season.<\/p>\n

They currently hold a 5.34 point lead over second placed Legion XIII.<\/p>\n

And Casey opened up on the plans his team captain, DeChambeau, has for the future.<\/p>\n

Casey responded when asked about the diversity of the Crushers team, and whether that plays a part in growing the game of golf worldwide.<\/p>\n

He said: \u201cI think our team is kind of a small reflection of where we play around the planet as a league. That\u2019s pretty diverse. We are the global tour. The lineup you see on here, we\u2019re very proud of the fact we\u2019ve not changed \u2014 Bryson has not changed this lineup, but who knows what this looks like in five years or ten years\u2019 time. That\u2019s exciting too. Bryson wants to fill this team with the best players possible.<\/p>\n

To which DeChambeau responded: \u201cWell, we are the best.\u201c<\/p>\n

Before Casey replied: \u201cIn fact, we don\u2019t have to look right now, so just ignore that search for another player.\u201c<\/p>\n

Whatever happens, it\u2019s clear that LIV Golf as an entity is not going anywhere, nor are they standing still and treading water.<\/p>\n

Those involved with the tour are clearly hugely ambitious people, and I most certainly include DeChambeau in that statement.<\/p>\n

DeChambeau\u2019s statement before final round of LIV Dallas nearly came true<\/p>\n

At the start of the final round, the 31-year-old sat nine shots adrift of the leader, Patrick Reed.<\/p>\n

However, by the time the final day\u2019s play was complete, DeChambeau only missed out on the play-off by two strokes.<\/p>\n

On Saturday evening, DeChambeau told reporters that catching Reed at LIV Dallas<\/a> was a possibility.<\/p>\n

He said: \u201cThere\u2019s no doubt it\u2019s possible. Look, this round could have been five or six-under pretty easily, it just didn\u2019t go my way. The wind is diabolical and I just don\u2019t have it under control, and it keeps kicking my butt. Even though I live here, I just cannot figure it out, so I\u2019ve got to do something about it and hopefully we\u2019ll have answers here soon, but I\u2019m working really hard. My team is doing pretty well, Paul played really well, super proud of him. This is a golf course right up his alley, as it is for all of us, this is just a diabolical golf course and I\u2019ve got to do better as a captain.\u201c<\/p>\n

DeChambeau\u2019s dream of catching Reed nearly came to fruition, but in the end it was his teammate Casey who caught \u2018Captain America\u2019.<\/p>\n
