Salford neighbourhoods will be able to experience a summer packed with music, art, workshops, and parades as Sounds \u2018Round Town\u2019 returns.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The return of the free summer experiences has been announced by Salford City Council\u00a0and From The Other, who will be looking to host some of the city\u2019s most loved events.<\/p>\n

The events will include Weaste Pride on Saturday 12 July, Eccles Fest on Saturday 26 July, and Irlam & Cadishead Festival on the August Bank Holiday weekend.<\/p>\n

All the events will be free to attend with residents being able to enjoy a wave of colour, sounds and fun.<\/p>\n

Sounds \u2018Round Town has done the business at two super successful Salford events that attracted 3,750 visitors between them already this summer.<\/p>\n

And this summer of fun will follow the already successful Sounds From The Other City in May, the 20th anniversary of the multi-venue festival, and the Swinton Sounds hosted in June.<\/p>\n

Weaste Pride \u2013 Weaste and Seedley Social Club<\/strong><\/p>\n

Residents will be able to attend Weaste Pride for free on Saturday 12 July, and will be able to celebrate love and diversity in the community.<\/p>\n

Hosted at the Weaste and Seedley Social Club<\/a>, it will be Weaste\u2019s first Pride event raising vital funds for the Albert Kennedy Trust (AKT) who support the LGBTQ+ youth who are facing homelessness or hostile environments.<\/p>\n

The event will begin at 1pm, and will be continue throughout the day, welcoming everyone in the community through music, entertainment, and activities for all ages.<\/p>\n

Sounds \u2018Round Town will be supporting the Weaste Pride team with a very special guest DJ set from The Fat Britney aboard the SRT Bike, legendary drag performers, and hosts for the day, Banksie and Violet Blonde.<\/p>\n

Guests of Weaste Pride will also be able to experience a craft workshop, hosted by Walk The Plank, to help people make their own pride placards and banners.<\/p>\n

Eccles Festival \u2013 Barton Lane, Eccles<\/strong><\/p>\n

And continuing the summer of fun, Salford residents will also be welcomed to the Eccles Festival<\/a> on Saturday 26 July.<\/p>\n

Hosted at the Eccles Recreation Centre, from 10am to 4pm, guests will be able to enjoy a day of unmissable fun and entertainment.<\/p>\n

Free for the family, guests will be able to experience a variety of activities, including an unfair, face painting, balloon modelling, demonstration rugby, bowling, tennis, and wheelchair bacha.<\/p>\n

As well as being able to join in Lego sessions, receive health advice, get tattoo art, as well as enjoying \u00a31 swims at Eccles Leisure Centre, vintage police vehicles, and lots of community stalls \u2013 with Walk The Plank once again hosting craft-based workshops for all ages.<\/p>\n

Residents will also be able to experience a parade led by Sounds \u2018Round Town, where they will be blasting out tunes from their mobile DJ SRT Bike.<\/p>\n

Irlam and Cadishead Festival \u2013 <\/strong>Prince\u2019s Park<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"Bees at the Irlam and Cadishead Community festival<\/p>\n

The Irlam and Cadishead Community festival will also return for its 75th anniversary and will be looking to bring people together once again.<\/p>\n

The free festival will be hosted from Friday 22 August until Monday 25 August with market stalls, live music, sports, street theatre, free activities, a firework display, and more.<\/p>\n

Sounds \u2018Round Town will be joining the party on Sun 24th and Mon 25th August (Bank Holiday) with an interactive marching band parade.<\/p>\n

For the 75th anniversary, they will host an amazing firework display on the evening of Monday 25th August at 9pm \u2013 a memory that lost before COVID.<\/p>\n

With the history and the heritage of the festival being celebrated once again, it will be a perfect opportunity for families to enjoy a day out together.<\/p>\n
