Meghan Markle\u2019<\/a>s website lists a lot of tips on how to use her As Ever<\/a> products, but she may have left out the most important one. Apparently, in addition to using her cr\u00eape mix to whip up a simple after-school snack for the kids and reusing her jam jars as pen-holders<\/a>, you can ship a box of As Ever treats to your estranged father-in-law as a way of saying, \u201cSorry about that tell-all Oprah Winfrey interview!\u201d<\/p>\n That\u2019s how the Duchess of Sussex is using her new food products, if you believe the latest royal gossip from Fox News Digital. Royal correspondent Neil Sean told<\/a> the outlet that Meghan sent King Charles<\/a> an As Ever sample box, according to a \u201cvery well-placed source\u201d:<\/p>\n U.K. royal correspondent Neil Sean claimed to Fox News Digital that, according to \u201ca very well-placed source,\u201d a \u201csample box of delights from As Ever has been delivered to Clarence House with a note.\u201d Clarence House is the London residence of King Charles III.<\/p>\n Fox News Digital reached out to a spokesperson for Clarence House, as well as Archewell, which represents the offices of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, for comment. The insider\u2019s claim has not been verified.<\/p>\n \u201cAn As Ever gift box [was sent], which included the \u2026 jams, honey, cr\u00eapes mix and various assortments, according to a very well-placed source,\u201d Sean told Fox News Digital. \u201cThis was a gifted idea from \u2026 the Duchess of Sussex.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n To me, this seems like a weird and passive-aggressive move. It says, \u201cHere\u2019s a sample of what I\u2019ve been cooking up with Prince Harry<\/a> now that we\u2019re free from the prison that was life as a working royal!\u201d But royal experts cited by Fox News disagreed, casting it as an effort to \u201crebuild bridges\u201d:<\/p>\n Several royal experts told Fox News Digital that, if true, this would be Meghan\u2019s way of \u201cbuilding bridges with the royal family\u201d following her royal\u00a0departure with Prince Harry in 2020.<\/p>\n \u201cI understand how she may not feel respected still, but tiny gestures like this are her way of showing compassion for what the king is going through and helping to rebuild bridges between Prince William, Prince Harry and the king,\u201d royal expert Ian Pelham Turner told Fox News Digital.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n Honestly, this is all pretty hard to swallow. Sure, at one point Meghan seemed to get along quite well with her father-in-law; then-Prince Charles walked her down the aisle at her 2018 wedding. And in their 2021 interview, Markle told Winfrey that she went into the British royal institution \u201cna\u00efvely,\u201d as she \u201cdidn\u2019t grow up knowing much about the royal family\u201d and didn\u2019t even Google Harry when they started dating. But surely after all the \u201cMegxit\u201d drama \u2014 including a Netflix documentary<\/a> and Harry\u2019s multiple lawsuits<\/a> \u2014 she\u2019s no longer na\u00efve enough to think that raspberry spread<\/a> and \u201cflower sprinkles\u201d have the power to heal the rift between the royals.<\/p>\n Unfortunately, we may never learn the truth. It seems unlikely that Buckingham Palace will release a statement on the king\u2019s alleged receipt of As Ever samples, and Charles isn\u2019t the type to post a jam unboxing<\/a> on Instagram.<\/p>\n\n
