{"id":229468,"date":"2025-07-01T14:05:09","date_gmt":"2025-07-01T14:05:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/229468\/"},"modified":"2025-07-01T14:05:09","modified_gmt":"2025-07-01T14:05:09","slug":"merseyside-police-launches-new-four-week-road-safety-campaign","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/229468\/","title":{"rendered":"Merseyside Police launches new four-week road safety campaign"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The National Police Chiefs\u2019 Council (NPCC) Operation Spotlight will run throughout July.<\/p>\n<p>The National Roads Partnership coordinates a series of operations throughout the year ensuring a regular national focus on road safety. <\/p>\n<p>Operation Spotlight focusses on the #Fatal4, they are:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Excessive speeds\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Distracted driving<\/li>\n<li>Drink and drug driving\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Failing to wear a seatbelt\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The #Fatal4 are prevalent in road traffic collisions whereby a casualty has been killed, there is simply no room on our road for the #Fatal4, they pose unnecessary risk to life.<\/p>\n<p>Merseyside Police, Liverpool Local Policing, Chief Inspector Steve Robinson pleads with drivers to keep our road users safe: <\/p>\n<p>\u201cYear on year we see collisions across Liverpool and Merseyside as a whole, resulting in serious injury and in some devastating circumstances, death.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe heartache of losing a loved one is incomprehensible, and lifechanging for families, friends and the community.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSerious collisions on our roads are not typically done with malice but that does not excuse responsibility.
