in Edinburgh. <\/p>\n<p>The engagement is part of the Royal Family\u2019s annual Scottish tour from which began on July 1 and will conclude on July 4.<\/p>\n<p>The Princess Royal stepped out on Tuesday evening with the other royals and assembled dignitaries, beginning with a salute as they stood on the steps of the palace. <\/p>\n<p>For the event she wore royal blue, structured jacket with gold buttons over a knee-length dress featuring a bold watercolour style floral print in shades of blue, black, white, and green.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" id=\"5f024\" royal blue fascinator hat adorned with decorative netting with floral. <\/p>\n<p>Anne accessorised with a triple-strand pearl necklace with contrasting blue beads and a delicate brooch pinned on the left lapel of the jacket. <\/p>\n<p>For footwear, the Princess Royal wore black low-heeled pumps with a slight sheen.  <\/p>\n<p>She completed the outfit with dark blue gloves and a navy handbag that joined other royals at the Scottish soiree. <\/p>\n<p>PA<\/p>\n<p>Her older brother, King Charles, wore a classic black tailcoat and top hat with a yellow waistcoat.  <\/p>\n<p>Tuesday evening\u2019s party kicked off the royal tour of Scotland that officially began with the King\u2019s observance of the Ceremony of the Keys in the palace garden.  <\/p>\n<p>This centuries-old ritual involves the Lord Provost presenting the Keys to the City of Edinburgh to the monarch, who then returns them for safekeeping. <\/p>\n<p>During the Ceremony of the Keys, King Charles met with Service Chiefs before garden<\/p>\n<p>PA<\/p>\n<p>He then inspected the King&#8217;s Bodyguard Scotland, otherwise known as the Royal Company of Archers, as they presented a Guard of Honour as part of the formal proceedings. <\/p>\n<p>Elsewhere, Camilla officially opened the newly rebuilt Ratho Library in Scotland. <\/p>\n<p>The opening marked the launch of the Edinburgh International Book Festival&#8217;s Paper Trails initiative.  <\/p>\n<p>The five-year programme aims to bring literature directly into local communities across Edinburgh.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" id=\"afe4b\" previous visit to Scotland in June saw her run across some sleepy farmers<\/p>\n<p>PA<\/p>\n<p>Her Majesty&#8217;s visit to the facility highlighted its significance as a community hub, particularly after the previous library failed to reopen following Covid-19. <\/p>\n<p>The Paper Trails project, supported by author Sir Ian Rankin, will operate across five libraries, including Ratho, with innovative programmes designed to engage local residents. <\/p>\n<p>Princess Anne\u2019s latest trip to Scotland follows a recent appearance at the Royal Highland Show, just outside Edinburgh, last month.  <\/p>\n<p>However, she soon became part of a humorous scene when her tour of the grounds came across a pair of sleeping farmers.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Princess Anne
