Jake Paul<\/a> has threatened to file lawsuits against anybody defaming him and the legitimacy of his boxing career but two of his biggest critics aren\u2019t backing down from taking shots at him.<\/p>\n

Following a lopsided win over Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.<\/a> this past weekend, Paul and his business partner Nakisa Bidarian said they are ready to use the legal system <\/a>to go after detractors alleging that his fights are fixed. The declaration came after veteran talk show host Piers Morgan blasted Paul\u2019s fight with Chavez and said that the YouTuber turned fighter is \u201ckilling boxing with this boring staged bullsh*t against older fighters way past their prime.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAfter years of letting it slide as just \u2018haters being haters,\u2019 I have asked my team to vigorously go after anyone who makes up lies about my boxing career,\u201d Paul wrote in response on Twitter. \u201cExpect to get served you pigs.\u201d<\/p>\n

Hours later, Morgan addressed Paul\u2019s legal threats alongside Dillon Danis<\/a>, who is actually embroiled in a lawsuit with Logan Paul<\/a>\u2019s fianc\u00e9e Nina Agdal after he posted dozens of photos of her while building towards his boxing match with Jake\u2019s older brother.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat he didn\u2019t like was me casting any kind of suspicious aspersion over the quality of his opponents, even though everyone in the fight game knows, any kind of fight game, that he\u2019s deliberately selecting fights that are not much of a test for him,\u201d Morgan said on his YouTube channel<\/a>. \u201cIf he fought Mike Tyson<\/a> when Tyson was 22, that\u2019s one thing. Fighting Mike Tyson when he\u2019s 58 and you\u2019re half his age is clearly set up for you to not get knocked out.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t see how he can possibly contradict the fact that he clearly stages fights that are to his obvious benefit. He\u2019s choosing opponents who are not at their peak or way past their peak. They\u2019re either much older or from other disciplines or whatever. He is staging events that are entertaining on a certain level, he\u2019s making a ton of money but the idea that these are doing anything but damaging the integrity of boxing, I think is for the birds.\u201d<\/p>\n

Morgan using the word \u201cstages\u201d is likely what\u2019s getting under Paul\u2019s skin because that makes it sound like he\u2019s setting up fixed fights meant for him to win.<\/p>\n

Instead, Morgan insists he\u2019s just talking about Paul handpicking easier fights that almost guarantee he\u2019ll win because he\u2019s not facing anybody that presents a legitimate challenge. During the interview, Morgan rattled off the names of Paul\u2019s opponents and noted that fighters like Tyron Woodley<\/a>, Nate Diaz<\/a> and others came from MMA while journeyman fighters such as Andre August and Ryan Bourland were no threat whatsoever.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think he\u2019s ruining the sport,\u201d Danis said about Paul. \u201c100 percent ruining the sport. I think people are starting to catch on though. It seemed this one no one was really talking about, no one really cared about. I feel like people are just like this is bullshit now. He doesn\u2019t have the kind of shit he had before when he was fighting the MMA guys like \u2018oh let\u2019s see if he can win because he\u2019s a Disney star.\u2019<\/p>\n

\u201cI think right now we\u2019re just giving him the platform he doesn\u2019t have anymore. You can see by his socials that no one really cares about his fights. I think he\u2019s ruining the sport.\u201d<\/p>\n

Danis stopped short of saying that Paul was fixing fights to ensure he would win but much like Morgan, he vehemently criticized the 28-year-old boxer for his selection of opponents.<\/p>\n

He said look no further than Chavez, who entered the fight at 39 years old with two of his past three fights also coming against MMA fighters including a loss to Anderson Silva<\/a> \u2014 an opponent Paul already bested back in 2022.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t want to say it\u2019s rigged because we\u2019re going to get sued here,\u201d Danis said. \u201cI just think Jake is that bad. I don\u2019t think Jake even has the ability to knock out Chavez Jr., who just came out of rehab and has been an addict his whole life, who\u2019s quit on the stool multiple times, he\u2019s a terrible fighter. They picked him because they thought they could probably knock him out and then [Jake] could be like \u2018Canelo [Alvarez] didn\u2019t knock him out so I knocked him out.\u2019 That was his whole thinking and I think the fight was harder for him.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn the last couple of rounds, he was getting pieced up. I didn\u2019t really watch the fight because I was watching UFC, what real men watch, and I just saw a couple of highlights at the end that he was getting pieced up. The steroids are starting to get to him. He was getting tired.\u201d<\/p>\n

Morgan didn\u2019t sound too stressed about facing potential legal action from Paul and his team but more than anything, he just wanted \u201cThe Problem Child\u201d to confess that he\u2019s not risking much with the level of competition he\u2019s facing these days.<\/p>\n

Morgan even joked that given the sudden rivalry between them that Paul might choose him as a future opponent.<\/p>\n

\u201cI would like him to just accept and acknowledge that he\u2019s not a real boxer having really challenging fights,\u201d Morgan said. \u201cWhat he is, is somebody who\u2019s latched onto turning boxing into a form of entertainment. That\u2019s what it is. He\u2019s making a ton of money. He should just be more open about it.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m in his right age wheelhouse. I\u2019m 60 years old with zero professional boxing experience.
